Garcia (1-0) picked up the win in Thursday's extra-innings victory over the Cardinals, giving up two hits and striking out one in two scoreless innings of relief.

The southpaw held St. Louis at bay in the ninth and 10th innings before JT Riddle was able to connect on a game-winning homer in the top of the 11th. Garcia now has a 4.67 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 12:7 K:BB through 17.1 big-league innings this season, and he'll likely continue to work primarily in lower-leverage spots.

Wilson (elbow) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session within the next couple days, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

Wilson was pulled from his rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse earlier this week due to left elbow tightness, but he's set to resume his throwing program after an MRI came back negative. The 31-year-old has been battling left elbow soreness since late April but appeared to be nearing his activation prior to the setback. Wilson's new return timeline may come into focus following the bullpen session.

Jansen earned a save against the Giants on Thursday, completing one inning and giving up one run on two hits and one walk.

Jansen was certainly expecting a night off after the Dodgers entered the ninth inning with a 9-4 lead, but a string of three consecutive San Francisco baserunners to lead off the inning netted two runs and resulted in Jansen being called upon to close out the victory. He responded by allowing an additional three straight hitters to reach base on a pair of singles and a walk, but managed to squeeze out the save by the skin of his teeth by inducing an incredibly close out at third base that was deemed inconclusive by replay officials followed by a pair of deep flyouts. Despite a 3.52 ERA this season, Jansen ranks second in the majors with 22 saves and is on pace to surpass the 40-save mark for the fourth time in his career.

Mayers (lat) threw a bullpen session Thursday and will throw either live batting practice or a simulated game Sunday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Mayers has been out since late April and will therefore presumably need a relatively extensive rehab assignment before activation. However, the right-hander will need to get through his live BP session or sim game Sunday before he can head out to a minor-league affiliate.

Helsley (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Thursday and will throw either a live batting practice or simulated game Sunday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports. "Feeling better," Helsley said. "Moving in the right direction. The bullpen felt good today, but I'm trying to take it easy and not rush back too quick."

Helsley was cleared to resume throwing Monday and is apparently getting along in his recovery without setbacks. The right-hander's activity Sunday will help determine the next steps in his rehabilitation process, with at least one minor-league game a possibility.

Alzolay (1-0) allowed one run on one hit and two walks across four innings to earn the win Thursday against the Mets. He struck out five.

Alzolay made his much-anticipated debut memorable, retiring 12 of the first 13 hitters he faced over four scoreless frames. He came back out for the ninth, allowing a solo home run and a walk before he was lifted, but Steve Cishek came on to secure the win. Alzolay was more effective than Tyler Chatwood was to begin the game and could be considered for a spot in the rotation. If so, his next outing would likely come at home against the Braves next week.

Nelson (0-2) allowed five runs on seven hits and four walks across five innings while taking the loss Thursday against the Reds. He struck out five.

Nelson got off to a rough start in the first inning, when he allowed three runs on two hits, two walks, and a hit batsman. He settled down nicely until the fifth when he surrendered a two-out, two-run home run to Jose Iglesias. This makes it three consecutive disappointing starts to begin Nelson's season, resulting in an unsightly 9.75 ERA over 12 innings. He'll look to right the ship in his next start on the road against the Mariners.

Pivetta (4-2) allowed six earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two across 5.1 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Nationals.

Pivetta struggled in nearly every facet Thursday, as he was taken deep twice -- once apiece Kurt Suzuki and Anthony Rendon -- and walked more batters than he struck out. He wasn't deceptive, generating just nine swinging strikes on 92 pitches. After pitching fairly well through his first three starts since recalled on May 28, Pivetta has now allowed 10 earned runs across his last 12 innings, allowing five long balls in that span. He'll look to get back on track Wednesday at home against the Mets.

Hoffman allowed one run on three hits with five strikeouts and four walks across 2.2 innings during a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Although he only yielded one run, Hoffman allowed seven base runners in under three innings. It took him 82 pitches to earn eight outs. His ERA did manage to decrease, but he is still 1-3 with a 6.75 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 36 strikeouts in 33.1 innings this season. His next start will be Tuesday at the Giants.

Wilson's (elbow) MRI results came back clean Thursday, Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports reports.

Wilson was scratched from Tuesday's rehab appearance due to tightness in his left elbow, but further testing brought good news for the southpaw. He is currently with the team, but he'll likely head back out to complete his rehab stint in the near future considering his MRI results.
