Smith gave up three runs on four hits (two home runs) while striking out two over an inning en route to his second blown save of the season Tuesday against the Rockies.

Luckily for Smith, the Giants were able to rally back and secure the victory, giving the closer his third win of the season. The 30-year-old has blown two saves in three chances since the All-Star break after going a perfect 23-for-23 prior to that. Tuesday's three-run meltdown was Smith's worst outing of the season by far. The veteran southpaw was able to bounce back after his first blown save last week, so fantasy owners shouldn't worry quite yet.

Pomeranz did not factor into the decision after throwing five innings of one-run ball Tuesday, giving up three hits and a walk while striking out four in an extra-inning win over the Rockies.

Pomeranz was actually in line for his third win of the season, but closer Will Smith uncharacteristically blew a three-run lead in the ninth. There were rumors that the southpaw and his 6.10 ERA could be moved out of the rotation this past weekend, but the team decided to give him another shot, and it paid off, all things considered. Pomeranz is still at risk of being converted into a reliever, considering the recent promotion of Andrew Suarez and Pomeranz's inability to go past five innings in all but one start this season. If he does get another turn in the rotation, it would come Sunday at home against the Mets, but he wouldn't be more than a strikeout streamer for that matchup.

Voth (1-0) earned the win Tuesday at Baltimore after giving up one run on four hits over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and hit a pair of batters.

Voth was in trouble early after loading the bases in the first inning and giving up a solo homer in the second, but he quickly settled in to deliver six strong innings. The Nationals don't have a scheduled off day until Aug. 1, so the right-hander seems likely to remain in the rotation following Tuesday's performance. He's in line to start Monday versus the Rockies.

Neris was charged with a blown save after surrendering three runs on two hits and one walk over one-third of an inning in Tuesday's win versus the Dodgers. He had one strikeout.

Neris gave up a three-run home run to Matt Beaty and had major command issues as he delivered only seven of his 17 pitches for strikes. The Phillies rallied for three runs of their own in the bottom of the frame to take him off the hook for the loss. Neris has allowed nine runs across his last six innings, converting only one of four save chances in that stretch.

Diaz allowed two hits and a walk but struck out one batter during the ninth Tuesday against the Twins en route to the save.

The Twins were a single away from tying the game and maybe winning it, but Diaz managed to strand the bases loaded. He is 21-for-25 in save opportunities and is certainly keeping owners on the edge of their seats. He is 1-6 with a 5.20 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 58 strikeouts in 36.1 innings this season.

Jansen has a bruised right ankle after being hit by a comebacker in Tuesday's game at Philadelphia, Pedro Moura of The Athletic reports. He was charged with the blown save after giving up four hits and three runs while recording only one out during the ninth inning.

Jansen never exited the game but sported a heavy limp in the clubhouse, and he said that it was a mistake to stay in the game since he had trouble pushing off the mound, according to Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register. The severity of the injury is not fully clear, but the Dodgers seem likely to avoid utilizing the 31-year-old for a day or two, at least.

Yamamoto (4-0) allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out four across five innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Padres.

Yamamoto was gifted seven runs of support in the first two innings, and he largely held the Padres' offense in check. He started the contest shakily, allowing the first four batters he faced in the second inning to reach base, accounting for all three of the runs he allowed. While he also started the third frame by allowing two hits to the first three batters, he rebounded to retire eight of the final nine batters he faced. Yamamoto now has a 1.59 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through 34 innings. He has yet to allow a home run, masking a 4.5 BB/9.

Suarez will pitch out of the bullpen as a long reliever for the Giants, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Suarez made two starts in the majors earlier this season, but he'll work out of the bullpen this time around after being called up Tuesday. The 26-year-old has been unable to maintain a place on the major-league roster this season after posting a 4.49 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 130:45 K:BB in 29 starts for the Giants in 2018.

Voth was recalled by the Nationals head of his scheduled start Tuesday in Baltimore.

Voth owns a 5.52 ERA in three starts for the Nationals this season, though his 16:5 K:BB is somewhat promising. The 27-year-old may be pitching for the chance to stick in the Nationals' rotation for at least a few more starts. Spencer Kieboom was optioned to Double-A Harrisburg in a corresponding move.

Wilson was recalled by the Braves and will start Tuesday's game on the road against the Brewers.

This move was widely expected with Kevin Gausman (foot) on the 10-day injured list. It's possible that Wilson's time with Atlanta could last longer than originally expected, as Max Fried (finger) was also placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday. In four spot appearances (three starts) with the major-league squad this season, the 21-year-old has posted a 6.14 ERA. He's been better in his 15 appearances with Triple-A Gwinnett, recording a 4.67 ERA with 81 strikeouts.
