Gsellman has been shut down from throwing off a mound for the past couple days due to right triceps tightness, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

The injury doesn't appear to be severe since the 27-year-old has continued playing catch, but it's still a troublesome development with less than a week until Opening Day. Gsellman posted a 4.66 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 60:23 K:BB over 63.2 innings during 2019 before suffering a partially torn right triceps in August. It remains unclear if the current injury is related to the one suffered last year.

Raley's contract was selected by the Reds on Sunday.

Raley signed a minor-league contract with the Reds in January after spending the past five seasons pitching in the KBO. The southpaw last pitched in the majors with the Cubs in 2013 and posted a 5.14 ERA and 1.36 WHIP over 14 innings. Although his addition to the 40-man roster is an encouraging step in his comeback, Raley is unlikely to play a significant role for the major-league club this season.

Gallegos (undisclosed) joined the team and threw a bullpen session Sunday and is questionable for Opening Day, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The team is currently gauging how he feels and how he recovers from Sunday's bullpen as they determine whether he will be ready for the start of the season. Gallegos is arguably the Cardinals' best reliever, but sounds like Ryan Helsley has a leg up for the closer's role and Carlos Martinez is a darkhorse to enter that fray as well if he does not make the rotation.

Yacabonis was added to San Diego's 60-man roster pool Sunday.

The right-hander joined the Friars on a minor-league deal in December and will join the team for the closing stages of summer training. Yacabonis made 29 appearances (four starts) for the Orioles last season and posted a 6.80 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and 33:24 K:BB across 41 innings before being designated for assignment in August.

Suero (undisclosed) reported to summer training Sunday and threw a light side session, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

The 28-year-old is on the injured list and has been absent from camp for unspecified reasons, but he was able to join the team this weekend. Suero may not be available for Opening Day with only a few days to build up for Thursday's matchup with the Yankees.

Williams has impressed in camp and could make the Opening Day bullpen, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Williams and Bobby Wahl were mentioned by manager Craig Counsell as two relievers who have impressed in the battle for the team's final bullpen spots. Williams logged a 3.95 ERA and 14:6 K:BB in 13.2 innings out of the big-league bullpen in 2019.

Burdi allowed one run on two hits in the ninth inning against Cleveland on Saturday. He struck out two batters.

Manager Derek Shelton said the team will not have a set closer with Keone Kela (undisclosed) out, leaving Burdi in contention for save opportunities with Kyle Crick, Richard Rodriguez and possibly Michael Feliz. Crick pitched poorly Saturday, leaving the door open for another reliever to get the first chance to nail down a save. Burdi looked better than Crick, consistently reaching the upper 90s with his heater while Crick sat in the low 90s.

Grace was assigned to the Diamondbacks' alternate camp Saturday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Grace was a non-roster invitee to summer camp and will remain off the 40-man while working at the team's satellite camp at Salt River Flats. He's spent parts of five seasons in MLB for the Nationals, including a full season in 2019, when he logged a 6.32 ERA over 46.2 innings.

Clarke will start Monday's exhibition game against the Dodgers, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Among a spate of roster announcements the Diamondbacks made official Saturday was the naming of Clarke and Taylor Widener as starters for the two-game exhibition set in Los Angeles against the Dodgers on Sunday and Monday. Neither starter will be part of Arizona's rotation to start the season, nor is it known if they will be part of the Opening Day roster. Clarke and Widener will serve as depth starters and possible bulk-inning relievers.

Cabrera (illness) reported to camp Saturday and played catch at Busch Stadium, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

The young southpaw was absent from the first couple weeks of summer camp after testing positive for COVID-19, but he's now cleared the league's testing protocols. Cabrera may not be ready for the start of the season with less than a week until Opening Day, especially as manager Mike Shildt indicated the 23-year-old won't be rushed into game readiness.
