Coonrod allowed three runs on two hits and a walk while fanning one in one-third of an inning and was tagged with the loss against the Padres on Friday.

Coonrod entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning looking to close things out for the Giants, but he didn't have his best stuff and the Padres took advantage of that. He recorded one out and allowed two baserunners -- from a single and a walk -- before allowing a walkoff homer to Trent Grisham. This was Coonrod's second straight blown save, and he might be removed from late-inning duties moving forward, although that'll only be relevant if the Giants make the playoffs.

Clarke (3-0) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks while fanning five across five innings to earn the win in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Colorado on Friday.

Clarke gave up four runs in the first two innings but settled down afterwards to secure his third win of the season despite not having his best stuff in this one. He has shifted between the rotation and the bullpen this season, but he is unlikely to pitch again with only two games left on the schedule.

Iglesias earned a hold after striking out two in a scoreless eighth inning against the Twins on Friday. He allowed one hit.

Manager David Bell was operating as if this were a playoff game, and he would have gone to Iglesias for a second inning if the Reds had not tacked on three more runs in the top of the ninth to make it 7-2. With a more comfortable lead, Bell decided to bring in Wade Miley to finish out the game. Iglesias had a bit of a rocky start to the season, but he's been excellent since and now has a 2.93 ERA to go along with eight saves.

Lamet suffered an elbow injury during Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against San Francisco, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Lamet was pulled from Friday's nightcap in the fourth inning, and the team revealed that he's dealing with an elbow injury. The severity of the injury isn't yet known, and it's unclear whether the issue will impact his availability during the postseason.

Davidson was recalled by Atlanta on Friday and will start Saturday's game against the Red Sox.

Davidson has pitched effectively recently at the alternate training site, and he'll make his major-league debut Saturday during the Braves' penultimate game. The southpaw was dominant in the upper levels of the minors last season, posting a 2.15 ERA and 134:54 K:BB over 129.2 innings during 25 starts. Davidson should be built up to a full workload for his first outing in the big leagues.

Lamet exited Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against the Giants with an apparent injury, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Lamet struggled slightly in the fourth frame as he allowed a run to come across, and he left the game with a trainer with two outs in the inning. The nature and severity of his injury remain to be seen.

Alzolay will start Sunday against the White Sox, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

The Cubs didn't seem to have a rotation spot open for Alzolay, but they'll move Jose Quintana, who's still building up his pitch count following a lat injury, to the bullpen for the final few days of the year. Alzolay has made three starts and two relief appearances this season, posting a 3.31 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP.

Martin (elbow) was transferred to the 45-day injured list Friday.

The 24-year-old is working his way back from Tommy John surgery in July 2019, and an oblique strain in August also impacted his progress. Martin will continue his rehab work in hopes of being ready to go for spring training in 2021.

Bracho (elbow) was activated from the 45-day injured list Friday.

The 28-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery in March 2019 and has been sidelined all season, but he'll return from the injured list for the final weekend. Bracho last pitched in 2018 and had a 3.19 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 34:12 K:BB over 31 innings, and he'll likely make an appearance or two this weekend to get him some game action before the offseason.

Patino was recalled from the alternate training site for Friday's doubleheader against the Giants.

The 20-year-old will serve as the 29th man for Friday's doubleheader, though he won't be starting either contest. Patino could be in the mix to start Saturday or Sunday, though the Padres would need to make another roster move to keep him on the roster. The right-hander has a 5.51 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 19:13 K:BB across 16.1 innings this season.
