Daniel Ponce de Leon RP | WAS
Cardinals' Daniel Ponce de Leon: Dealing with shoulder discomfort
Ponce de Leon was removed from Tuesday's game at Detroit with right shoulder discomfort, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
The right-hander recorded one out and allowed a hit before exiting with the injury; the runner eventually came around to score. Ponce de Leon spent over three weeks on the injured list with a similar injury in May, so this is cause for some concern.

Ryan Weber RP | NYY
Brewers' Ryan Weber: Joins big-league roster
Weber was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
The right-hander was claimed off waivers by the Brewers last week and will join the big-league club ahead of Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks. Weber made one appearance for the Red Sox this season before being designated for assignment; in that outing, he surrendered 11 runs on 13 hits with seven strikeouts and two walks over 5.2 innings.

Hoby Milner RP | CHC
Brewers' Hoby Milner: Optioned to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Milner to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The lefty has struggled since joining the Brewers' bullpen, posting a 5.91 ERA in 10.2 innings. Milner's 14:1 K:BB has certainly impressed, though, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him back with the big-league club at some point this season.

Robert Gsellman RP | WAS
Mets' Robert Gsellman: Won't throw for six weeks
Gsellman (lat) won't throw for six weeks, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
Gsellman hit the injured list Monday with a torn right lat and was reported to be out for 6-to-8 weeks. That time frame now seems overly optimistic, as he'll need several weeks to build his arm strength back up even if he's cleared to throw immediately at the six-week mark. A late-August return now appears to be on the optimistic end of his timeline.

Kyle Finnegan RP | DET
Nationals' Kyle Finnegan: Heads to IL with hamstring strain
Finnegan was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left hamstring strain, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
Finnegan last pitched Sunday, striking out one in a perfect inning. It's not clear when or how he strained his hamstring, but the issue is serious enough to require an IL stint. The right-hander will be eligible to be activated July 1, though he could very well require a longer period to heal. Max Scherzer (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his Tuesday start in a corresponding roster move.

Dellin Betances RP | LAD
Mets' Dellin Betances: Rehab moving to Triple-A
The Mets transferred Betances' (shoulder) rehab assignment from Low-A St. Lucie to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
New York determined that Betances was ready for a stiffer test after he completed three rehab appearances with St. Lucie. He retired just one hitter and surrendered five runs in his second outing June 16, but he bounced back in his most recent appearance Saturday, when he struck out two over a scoreless inning while allowing two hits. Given that Betances has been sidelined since early April with right shoulder inflammation, the Mets may want to see him make multiple appearances for Syracuse before activating him from the 60-day injured list.

Jeff Hoffman RP | TOR
Reds' Jeff Hoffman: Starting rehab assignment
Hoffman (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.
Hoffman has missed nearly a month after exiting a late-May start with a sore shoulder. That could mean he requires multiple rehab outings before being activated from the injured list, though the Reds have yet to specify when they expect him back.
-
Bernardo Flores RP | TEX
Cardinals' Bernardo Flores: Scrubbed from 40-man roster
The Cardinals designated Flores for assignment Tuesday.
Flores will cede his spot on the 40-man roster to outfielder Lars Nootbaar, who gets the call to the big leagues after slashing .329/.430/.557 at Triple-A Memphis. The 25-year-old southpaw has also been a regular at Memphis this season, making eight appearances (five starts) while posting a 5.74 ERA and 1.86 WHIP in 31.1 innings. If Flores goes unclaimed off waivers, he should maintain a spot in the Triple-A rotation.

Tejay Antone RP | CIN
Reds' Tejay Antone: Making return from IL
The Reds reinstated Antone (forearm) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
Antone was sidelined for just over two weeks with what was apparently a mild case of right forearm inflammation. Though he missed out on a spot in the Reds' Opening Day rotation, Antone had proven to be a valuable multi-inning weapon out of the bullpen prior to landing on the IL. Across his 20 appearances spanning 32 frames, Antone has posted a 1.41 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 40:11 K:BB while collecting seven holds and three saves.

Will Smith RP | KC
Braves' Will Smith: Notches 14th save
Smith gave up two hits and hit a batter in a scoreless seventh inning to record his 14th save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Mets during the second game of Monday's doubleheader.
The veteran southpaw made things dicey by plunking James McCann following one-out singles by Pete Alonso and Dominic Smith, but the Atlanta closer escaped the jam. Smith has only blown one save all year, and on paper his 3.94 ERA seems a little unlucky, given his 1.08 WHIP and 40:10 K:BB through 29.2 innings.
