  • Daniel Hudson RP | LAD

Dodgers' Daniel Hudson: Suffers ACL injury

Hudson (knee) suffered an ACL injury during Friday's win over Atlanta, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

A full diagnosis won't be available until the right-hander is further evaluated, but the team fears it's a torn ACL and manager Dave Roberts said, "I don't see how it's not the end of [his] season." Hudson has been a key bullpen piece for the Dodgers this year with five saves and nine holds to go along with a 2.22 ERA and 30:5 K:BB, but it appears he'll now be sidelined for the rest of the campaign.

  • Daniel Bard RP | COL

Rockies' Daniel Bard: Logs four-out save

Bard threw 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Friday's 1-0 win over the Twins.

Bard inherited a two-on, two-out situation in the eighth inning and got Max Kepler to ground out before retiring the side in the ninth. This was Bard's 15th save of the season and his fourth during a 9.1-inning scoreless streak in his last nine appearances. It's been 15.1 innings since he last allowed an earned run, which has helped him post a 1.88 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 35:13 K:BB across 28.2 innings overall as the Rockies' main closer.

  • Daniel Hudson RP | LAD

Dodgers' Daniel Hudson: Leaves with injury

Hudson was removed from Friday's game against Atlanta with an apparent left knee injury, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Hudson had his leg buckle 11 pitches into Friday's appearance when trying to field a groundball and was helped off the field by the training staff. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but the veteran right-hander figures to be unavailable for at least a day or two regardless of the diagnosis.

  • Alexis Diaz RP | TEX

Reds' Alexis Diaz: Bullpen session Saturday

Diaz (biceps) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The 25-year-old landed on the injured list last weekend with right biceps tendinitis, but he resumed playing catch Wednesday and is set to retake the mound Saturday. Diaz is eligible to return from the injured list late next week, and he may not end up missing much more than the 15-day minumum.

  • Yunior Marte RP | CIN

Giants' Yunior Marte: Called up by San Francisco

Marte was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Marte was last in the majors for one day in mid-May, and he'll rejoin the big-league club ahead of Friday's matchup with the Reds. The right-hander has given up eight earned runs over 9.1 innings for the Giants this year, but he's pitched well for Sacramento with a 3.57 ERA and 0.81 WHIP.

  • Zack Littell SP | WAS

Giants' Zack Littell: Sent to Triple-A

Littell was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Littell pitched Thursday against Atlanta and allowed one run over three innings, and he'll head to the minors in favor of a fresh bullpen arm. The 26-year-old has a 4.97 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB across 29 major-league innings this season.

  • Mitch White RP | MIL

Dodgers' Mitch White: Confirmed as Saturday's starter

Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that White will start Saturday's game against Atlanta, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The 27-year-old will start on short notice after Andrew Heaney (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday, but White is fully rested since he last pitched at Triple-A Oklahoma City last Saturday. The right-hander will likely have a chance to make several turns through the rotation while Heaney is sidelined.

  • Cole Sulser RP | TB

Marlins' Cole Sulser: Resumes playing catch

Sulser (lat) has resumed playing catch, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Sulser landed on the 15-day injured list with a right lat strain June 15 and has been cleared to resume a throwing program just over a week later. It's not yet clear when the right-hander will be able to return to game action, but a better idea of his timetable should come into focus once he resumes mound work.

  • Mitch White RP | MIL

Dodgers' Mitch White: Likely starting Saturday

White has joined the Dodgers in Atlanta and will likely start Saturday's game, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

White was sent to Triple-A Oklahoma City on June 10 and tossed 11.2 scoreless innings over two starts since heading to the minors. However, Andrew Heaney (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday, so White will likely get another chance to prove himself at the major-league level.

  • Jeff Hoffman RP | TOR

Reds' Jeff Hoffman: Placed on injured list

Hoffman was placed on the injured list for an unspecified reason Friday.

Since the Reds didn't provide an injury designation for Hoffman on Friday, it seems likely that he's on the COVID-19 injured list. Assuming that's the case, he'll be eligible to return as soon as he clears the league's health and safety protocols, but his return timetable depends on whether he's tested positive for the virus. Right-hander Jared Solomon was recalled to take Hoffman's place in the rotation.
