Jarvis allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six over 5.2 innings of relief in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Brewers.

Starter Eduardo Rodriguez retired the first six batters he faced, but he endured a rough third inning in which he recorded just one out before he was lifted from the game. Arizona then turned to Jarvis in long relief, and though he allowed a pair of solo home runs, he otherwise limited the damage to save the Arizona bullpen and allow the team to stay competitive in the loss. Jarvis is expected to continue serving as a long reliever, but now that he's been stretched back out after Tuesday's 88-pitch outing, he could be a candidate to start if an opening in the rotation should emerge at any point.

Faucher earned a save Monday against Atlanta, striking out one and allowing one run on one hit and no walks in the ninth inning.

Faucher served up a solo home run to Drake Baldwin, but he hung on to record his 12th save of the season. The right-hander should remain one of Miami's top ninth-inning options to wrap up the year, though the team's committee approach at closer can be frustrating for fantasy managers at times. Faucher has a 3.42 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 48:21 K:BB over 50 innings.

O'Brien (2-0) blew a save but earned the victory over the Pirates on Monday, allowing one run on one hit and striking out one batter over 1.2 innings.

O'Brien entered with one out in the eighth inning after JoJo Romero allowed a pair of runners to reach base. O'Brien escaped the jam by inducing an inning-ending double play, and he returned for the ninth to try to finish off the save. However, the right-hander was unable to do so, giving up an RBI double after hitting a batter with a pitch. O'Brien did manage to limit the damage to that one run, and he was credited with the victory when Alec Burleson crushed a walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame. Despite the blown save, it's notable that O'Brien cleaned up Romero's small mess, as the pair has been working as co-closers since Ryan Helsley was dealt to the Mets at the trade deadline.

Uribe earned the save in Monday's win over Arizona, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

With Trevor Megill unavailable after throwing 34 pitches Sunday, the Brewers called on the setup man Uribe, who retired the side in order to lock down his third save of the year. The right-hander has now gone 17 straight appearances without allowing an earned run, a streak that runs through the entire second half. Uribe has quietly put together a dominant season, posting a 1.71 ERA with 78 strikeouts in 63.1 innings, and was ready when called upon in a high-leverage spot.

Lord (4-7) coughed up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and two walks over 4.1 innings and took the loss Monday against the Yankees. He struck out five.

The Washington right-hander was tagged for a season-worst six earned runs in this 78-pitch outing. This marks the second consecutive poor appearance for Lord, who had been solid in the second half prior to this start, pitching to a 3.45 ERA across 31.1 frames. After conceding two runs over the first four innings, Lord unraveled in the fifth, giving up five runs on five hits, capped by a Jazz Chisholm two-run homer. Across 100.2 total innings, the 25-year-old now sports a 3.84 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 82:33 K:BB. He currently lines up to make his next start at home against Tampa Bay this weekend.

The Mets announced July 29 that Smith (elbow) has been throwing bullpen sessions and could be close to facing live hitters in batting practice, MLB.com reports.

Updates on Smith's rehab from his July 2024 Tommy John surgery with an internal brace have been scarce over the past month, but assuming he's experienced no setbacks during the ramp-up process, he could have an outside shot at returning from the 60-day injured list in September. Before suffering the elbow injury last summer, Smith had been an integral piece in the New York bullpen, posting a 3.06 ERA while collecting two saves and six holds over his 19 appearances in 2024.

The Brewers recalled McGee from Triple-A Nashville on Monday.

McGee holds a 7.36 ERA and 10:5 K:BB over 11 innings during his time in the Brewers bullpen this season. The 6-foot-7 righty will likely be used in low-leverage spots.

The Brewers placed Anderson on the 15-day injured list Monday due to right ankle tendinitis.

He'll be eligible to return Sept. 8, but it's unclear if Anderson will be ready to go by that date. The right-handed reliever has pitched well out of the Brewers bullpen this season, posting a 2.87 ERA and 66:27 K:BB over 62.2 innings.

Triple-A Rochester placed Eder on its 7-day injured list Aug. 5 due to an unspecified injury.

Acquired from the Angels on July 30, Eder reported to Triple-A Rochester following the trade but has yet to make his organizational debut while he recovers from an injury. The Nationals haven't provided a timeline for Eder's return to the mound, making it uncertain whether he'll pitch again in 2025.

The Cardinals recalled Graceffo from Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Graceffo has put up a 5.81 ERA and 26:7 K:BB across 31 innings in the majors this season. The right-hander will give manager Oliver Marmol a fresh bullpen arm for the start of a series against the Pirates that begins Monday.
