Alex Colome RP | CHW
Nationals' Alex Colome: Sent to minor-league camp
Colome was assigned to minor-league camp on Saturday, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
Colome could theoretically have earned save chances in Washington this season with the team open to using Kyle Finnegan in more of a fireman role, but instead, the veteran won't even earn a roster spot. He didn't help his case this spring, posting a 5.59 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 7:7 K:BB in 9.2 innings.

Andres Machado RP | WAS
Nationals' Andres Machado: Reassigned to MiLB camp
Machado was reassigned to minor-league camp by the Nationals on Saturday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Machado was attempting to win a spot in the Washington bullpen, but at least to begin 2023, he's going to head to the minors instead. The 29-year-old will likely operate out of the bullpen for Triple-A Rochester.

Genesis Cabrera RP | PHI
Cardinals' Genesis Cabrera: Will begin year in Triple-A
Cabrera was optioned to Triple-A Memphis by the Cardinals on Saturday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Cabrera has pitched well this spring with a 2.57 ERA over seven innings of work with seven strikeouts, but the southpaw won't be a part of the Opening Day bullpen to begin 2023. The 26-year-old will all but assuredly see time with the Cardinals before the end of the year, but it will likely be as a low-leverage option.

Brooks Raley RP | NYM
Mets' Brooks Raley: Still on track
Raley (hamstring) pitched in a minor-league game rather than a Grapefruit League game Saturday but remains on track for Opening Day, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Raley is dealing with a low-grade left hamstring strain but seems to be progressing well. Previous reports held that he'd pitch for the big-league club this weekend, but the Mets apparently changed plans. His next appearance will come in an intrasquad game Monday. Assuming no setbacks, Raley could see saves as the top lefty in a closer committee in the absence of Edwin Diaz (knee), though David Robertson is presumably ahead of him on the depth chart should the Mets anoint a new dedicated closer.

JoJo Romero RP | STL
Cardinals' JoJo Romero: Sent down to Triple-A
Romero was optioned to Triple-A Memphis by the Cardinals on Saturday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Romero was unable to win a spot in the Cardinals' bullpen to open the 2023 season. The hard-throwing left-hander will likely see time with St. Louis during the season, but only as a short-term option as a low-leverage reliever.
-
Jose Castillo RP | NYM
Padres' Jose Castillo: Throws bullpen session
Castillo (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Saturday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Castillo was shut down in mid-March due to left shoulder discomfort, but the shutdown didn't last too long. He won't be ramped up by Opening Day, but he may not miss too much time.

Robert Suarez RP | ATL
Padres' Robert Suarez: Likely to begin year on IL
Suarez is likely to begin the season on the injured list because of arm stiffness and joint inflammation, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
An MRI revealed no structural damage for Suarez, but the right-hander hasn't been able to throw since March 12, and he's unlikely to be ready for the regular season. Suarez was expected to be a big part of the San Diego bullpen behind Josh Hader, and it now appears we won't see him pitch for the Padres before the middle of April.
-
Brandon Hughes RP | CHC
Cubs' Brandon Hughes: Throws off mound
Hughes (knee) threw off a mound Saturday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Hughes has dealt with left knee inflammation throughout spring, which may wind up sending him to the injured list. Saturday's session was a sign of progress, but it remains unclear if he'll have time to finish his build-up process before Opening Day.

Huascar Brazoban RP | NYM
Marlins' Huascar Brazoban: Likely in Opening Day bullpen
Brazoban appears to be on track for a spot on the Opening Day roster, Jordan McPherson of The Miami Herald reports.
The 33-year-old right-hander made his big-league debut in 2022, posting a 3.09 ERA and 28.4 percent strikeout rate over 32 innings while averaging 97.2 mph with his fastball. He also walked 14.9 percent of the batters he faced. Brazoban should work the middle innings for the Marlins, limiting his fantasy appeal despite his ability to miss bats.

Andrew Nardi RP | MIA
Marlins' Andrew Nardi: Appears set for bullpen role
Nardi appears to be on track for a spot on the Opening Day roster, Jordan McPherson of The Miami Herald reports.
The 24-year-old lefty is one of the last 13 pitchers remaining in camp with the Marlins. Nardi made his big-league debut in a low-leverage role last season but stumbled to a 9.82 ERA and 2.66 WHIP over 14.2 innings. He'll likely handle middle innings and long-relief situations again as the third southpaw in the bullpen behind A.J. Puk and Tanner Scott.
