Rodriguez will serve as the opener for Friday's game against the Giants, Sammy Levitt of 97.3 The Fan San Diego reports.

Rodriguez will draw his fourth start of the season, but he's been limited to one inning in each of those appearances and will presumably be in line for a similar workload Friday. German Marquez is likely to pitch multiple innings in relief once Rodriguez exits the game, per Levitt.

Henriquez will serve as the opener in Friday's game against the Red Sox, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The Dodgers are treating the series opener as a bullpen day, with Henriquez likely to be lifted from the contest after an inning or two. Henriquez, who will be making his first MLB start, owns a 2.79 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 42:19 K:BB over 41 appearances on the season.

Soto (5-3) allowed one earned run on one hit and two walks while striking out one across two-thirds of an inning to take the loss Thursday against the Reds.

Soto entered the game in the ninth inning with the score tied at 2-2, but he allowed a leadoff double and struggled to find the zone consistently. Though he's had a very inconsistent season, he entered the game having turned in seven consecutive scoreless appearances, during which he earned two saves and posted a 7:2 K:BB. Mason Montgomery has started to factor into the saves picture in Pittsburgh, and this outing from Soto could crack that door open further for Montgomery.

Miller notched a save against the Padres on Thursday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter with no walks over one scoreless inning.

Miller got the call for the ninth frame with San Francisco up three runs. He yielded a two-out single but then slammed the door shut by inducing a Xander Bogaerts flyout. Miller picked up his second save in the past four days after going without a save in each of his prior 24 appearances. The left-hander is on a 13-outing scoreless streak and has posted an 18:5 K:BB across 12.2 innings during that span, which may have earned him the Giants' top closer role. His primary competition, Caleb Kilian, pitched a scoreless seventh inning Thursday and recorded a hold, but he's surrendered five earned runs over 8.1 frames in July.

Williams secured the save Thursday against the Marlins, allowing no runs on no hits and one walk in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

The Marlins made things a bit interesting with a leadoff walk in a two-run game, but Williams responded by striking out the next two hitters he faced and then induced a game-ending popup by Javier Sanoja. It's been an adventure at times this season for the 31-year-old right-hander, but he's delivered five consecutive scoreless outings and converted three straight save opportunities. For the year, Williams has a 4.17 ERA, a career-worst 1.58 WHIP and 51:20 K:BB with 16 saves in 19 chances over 36.2 innings.

Barco took a no-decision Thursday against the Reds, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks in three relief innings. He struck out two.

Working in long relief behind opener Yohan Ramirez, Barco was mostly ineffective in a laborious outing Thursday. The southpaw landed only 42 of his 72 pitches for strikes, walking multiple batters in his fourth consecutive major-league appearance while failing to work at least five frames in any of them. Through 14.2 innings, Barco has a disastrous 7.36 ERA, 2.11 WHP and 10:12 K:BB and might soon be headed back to Triple-A Indianapolis following his first big-league showing since April 28.

Iglesias secured the save Thursday against the Nationals, allowing no runs on no hits and one walk with no strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.

The Nationals did bring the possible go-ahead run to the plate, but Iglesias held on by getting Luis Garcia to fly out and end the game. The veteran right-hander has turned in back-to-back scoreless outings and converted two straight save opportunities, which is an encouraging sign after he let in earned six runs across his prior nine appearances. Through 39 innings overall, Iglesias sports a 2.31 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB with 23 saves in 25 attempts.

Webb (4-2) worked around a hit to toss 1.1 scoreless innings and earn the win in Thursday's 4-2, 10-inning victory over the Cardinals. He had no strikeouts or walks.

Webb worked the bottom of the ninth inning in a 2-2 game and managed to force the game into extra innings. He then picked up the win when the Cubs scored twice in the top of the 10th. Webb has been effective out of Chicago's bullpen this year with a 2.64 ERA and 55 strikeouts across 47.2 innings. With Daniel Palencia (elbow) still on the injured list, Webb has a pathway to saves in the short term, though Trent Thornton is also in the mix. It remains to be seen how Chicago approaches things when Palencia returns, but Webb has given the team another reliable end-game option if needed.

Civale retired the final two batters of Thursday's 4-2, 10-inning win over the Cardinals to record his first save of the season.

Civale was the sixth Chicago pitcher used on the afternoon, and he retired his two batters on nine pitches to record just his second career MLB save, with his other one coming last year. The veteran righty has now appeared in three games for the Cubs since coming over via trade from the A's on July 18, and he's allowed two runs across five innings while striking out six. Civale doesn't have a ton of fantasy value at the moment, as he's mostly just bullpen depth with his new team, though he's capable of making spot starts if needed.

Parker underwent elbow ligament repair surgery with an internal brace Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Parker moved to the 60-day IL at the start of the month after being diagnosed with a Grade 3 UCL sprain, and the procedure will officially keep him out for the remainder of 2026 and most, if not all, of the 2027 campaign, as well.
