Rays' Tyler Alexander: Avoids arbitration
Alexander (lat) signed a one-year contract with the Rays on Tuesday, avoiding arbitration, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Alexander was claimed off waivers from the Tigers last week. He finished the 2023 season on the 60-day injured list because of a partial lat tear but struck out 44 batters and issued only five walks over 44 innings when healthy.

Rays' Calvin Faucher: Designated for assignment
Faucher (biceps) was designated for assignment by the Rays on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Faucher finished the 2023 season on the 60-day injured list because of lingering biceps tendinitis and posted a rough 7.01 ERA in 25.2 innings when healthy. He is no longer part of the club's 40-man roster mix.

Orioles' Tucker Davidson: Removed from 40-man roster
Davidson cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Davidson was claimed off waivers last month and signed a major-league contract with the Orioles last week, but he's now off the 40-man roster. The O's are doing some 40-man roster housecleaning ahead of the Rule 5 Draft protection deadline.

Royals' Taylor Clarke: Avoids arbitration
Clarke signed a one-year contract with the Royals on Saturday, avoiding arbitration.
The Royals will keep Clarke in their bullpen for the 2024 campaign despite the 30-year-old reliever posting a 5.95 ERA and 1.61 WHIP last season -- both the worst marks of his career. Clarke struck out 65 batters in 59 innings, but his fantasy value will continue to be limited until he finds a way to prevent runs from scoring.

Orioles' Tucker Davidson: Lands in Baltimore
Davidson signed a one-year contract with the the Orioles on Wednesday.
After Davidson was non-tendered by the Royals, the Orioles picked him up via a waiver claim and now have him under contract for 2024. The 27-year-old appeared in 38 games for the Angels and Royals in 2023, posting a 5.96 ERA across 51.1 innings. He'll provide bullpen depth for the O's.

Rays' Tyler Alexander: Claimed by Rays
The Rays claimed Alexander (lat) off waivers from the Tigers on Friday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Alexander missed much of the 2023 campaign with a tear in his left lat, although he's been throwing for a couple months and should be ready for spring training. The left-hander holds a career 4.38 ERA and 273:74 K:BB over 341.1 career major-league innings. He could operate as a swingman in Tampa Bay.

Guardians' Adam Oller: Latches on with Guardians
Oller signed a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training with the Guardians on Wednesday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
He'll be reunited with new Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, who caught Oller some in 2022 with the Athletics. Oller had a disastrous 2023 season both in the majors (10.07 ERA) and minors (6.22 ERA) but had a solid minor-league track record previously.
