Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Sunday that Harvey (oblique) remains on track to return from the 60-day injured list when first eligible in late May, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.

When Harvey was diagnosed with a left oblique strain in mid-March, the Orioles didn't wait long before placing him on the 60-day IL. Harvey's history of being a slow healer from the various injuries he's accumulated during his career may have played a factor in the decision to stash him on the 60-day IL rather than the 10-day IL, but the 26-year-old looks to be reversing that narrative this time around. He resumed a throwing program just over two weeks ago and appears to have escaped any setbacks thus far. Harvey will ramp up for the next few weeks and should fill a key role in the Baltimore bullpen once reinstated, but he may not get a look as the team's closer while Cesar Valdez continues to navigate the ninth inning effectively.

The Athletics recalled Kolarek from their alternate training site Sunday.

Oakland sent Kolarek to the alternate site less than a week ago, but he'll be able to rejoin the big club earlier than anticipated after Jesus Luzardo (hand) was surprisingly placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday. Mike Fiers is expected to move into the rotation for the duration of Luzardo's absence, while Kolarek will likely fill a low-leverage role out of the Oakland bullpen.

The Mariners recalled Swanson from their alternate training site Sunday.

Swanson will offer the Mariners some length out of the bullpen ahead of Sunday's series finale against the Angels after Seattle needed four relievers to cover the final seven innings of Saturday's 10-5 loss. If Justus Sheffield can work relatively deep into Sunday's start, the Mariners could bypass using Swanson and deploy him as the spot starter for what's expected to be a bullpen game in Monday's series opener in Baltimore. The Mariners plan to keep a six-man rotation intact while Marco Gonzales (forearm) is on the shelf, but manager Scott Servais has yet to name a replacement for the southpaw.

The Athletics recalled Weems from their alternate training site Sunday.

He'll join the big-league bullpen as a replacement for J.B. Wendelken (oblique), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Over the past two seasons, Weems has made 12 relief appearances for the Athletics, posting a 3.31 ERA and 21:8 K:BB in 16.1 innings.

Tapia, just recalled from the alternate training site Thursday, fired a scoreless ninth inning during which he allowed two hits and didn't record any walks or strikeouts in a loss to the Angels on Saturday.

The big right-hander's promotion to the big-league roster was a direct result of Marco Gonzales' (forearm) placement on the injured list, so his stay may not last beyond his teammate's absence. However, manager Scott Servais saw Saturday's low-leverage scenario as a good opportunity to get a look at Tapia, who posted a 2.08 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across his first 4.1 big-league innings with the Red Sox in 2020.

Duran has only recently started throwing after having some trapezius tightness in spring training, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Duran is a few weeks away from returning, according to the report. He'll begin the season on the injured list at Triple-A St. Paul as a result.

Balazovic will begin the season on the inured list at Double-A Wichita as he works his way back from a back injury he suffered in spring training, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

The Twins' top pitching prospect didn't get much work last summer as he was a late addition to the team's alternate training camp, and he will now have his return to minor-league action delayed.

Toronto recalled Kay from its alternate training site Sunday.

Kay was added to the 26-man active roster as a replacement for long reliever Tommy Milone (shoulder), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Like Milone, Kay is a left-handed option capable of offering some length out of the bullpen. Toronto has an opening in the rotation that will need to be filled Tuesday in Oakland, and Kay could be a candidate to make a spot start if he isn't needed in relief Sunday against Atlanta or in Monday's series opener versus the Athletics.

Green has an 0-2 record this season, but he has posted a 1.08 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and 16:2 K:BB across 16.2 innings while recording three holds and one save.

The Yankees have fielded one of MLB's top bullpens in the early going, and Green has been a big part of that success as one of the team's top high-leverage options. He leads New York with 13 appearances out of the bullpen and is holding opposing hitters to a .151 batting average on the season.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said he expects Fairbanks (shoulder) to pitch in a simulated game Monday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Fairbanks' strained right shoulder apparently held up well while he threw in a live batting practice session Saturday, so he'll take the next step forward in the recovery process by pitching in a simulated game. If all goes well Monday, Fairbanks could be reinstated from the injured list by the middle of the week.
