Manaea allowed three earned runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out three across six innings Tuesday against the Astros. He did not factor into the decision.

Manaea survived with a quality start despite surrendering 10 hits -- including two doubles and a solo home run. He wasn't deceiving opposing hitters, as he generated only seven swinging strikes across 91 total pitches. Manaea maintains a 4.41 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across 49 innings this season, but has allowed double-digit baserunners in each of his last two outings while racking up only five strikeouts across eight combined frames. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, projected to come Sunday at the Angels.

Hendriks allowed one hit and one walk over two-thirds of an inning in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Twins.

This was a non-save situation for Hendriks, who entered with a man on and the game tied in the ninth inning. Setup man Aaron Bummer squandered a lead in the eighth and departed after facing one batter in the ninth. Hendriks, who had been warming for a possible save opportunity before the Twins tied the game, was brought in to extend the game into extra frames. It was his first time pitching in five days.

Bummer (0-2) was tagged with the loss to Minnesota on Wednesday. He allowed three runs on two hits and one walk while striking out two in one-plus innings.

Bummer came on in the eighth inning with Chicago holding a 4-2 lead and served up a two-run home run to Miguel Sano, the first homer he had allowed over his previous 36 appearances dating back to 2019. The left-hander came out to start the ninth and was removed after allowing a leadoff single to Andrelton Simmons, who came around to score the winning run with Liam Hendriks on the bump. Bummer entered the night having not been scored upon over his previous 10 innings, spanning nine outings.

Sulser allowed a walk and struck out two over 1.2 scoreless innings in Tuesday's 13-6 loss to Tampa Bay.

The right-hander was the only one of five Baltimore pitchers to keep runs off the board in Tuesday's blowout loss. Sulser has pitched to a 2.45 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB across 14.2 innings this season. He's picked up a win and a hold in 11 outings, but the reliever hasn't seen much high-leverage work despite his sharp numbers. He had allowed three runs in his last two innings prior to his solid showing Tuesday.

Chapman gave up a hit and struck out three in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 10th save of the season in a 7-4 win over the Rangers.

It's the sixth time in 16 appearances this season Chapman has gotten all his outs via strikeout. The veteran closer has been almost untouchable so far, and he has yet to give up an earned run or blow a save while piling up a 34:5 K:BB through 16 innings.

Patino allowed four runs on six hits and two walks across 3.1 innings during Tuesday's 13-6 win at Baltimore. He recorded six strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

The right-hander was in prime position to secure his second win of the season after the Rays provided an 8-0 cushion, but the 21-year-old needed 82 pitches for 10 outs and was unable to finish the fourth frame. Patino has a 3.60 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB over 15.1 innings this season.

Yang will start Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

The 33-year-old was in consideration to start or serve as the primary pitcher Wednesday, and he'll end up starting the contest. Yang had his contract selected in late April and has pitched well with a 3.38 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB over 16 innings (four appearances).

Rogers (1-2) earned the win Tuesday after tossing a scoreless inning against the White Sox. He allowed one hit and struck out two batters.

Rogers entered a tie game in the top of the ninth inning and worked around a single by Yermin Mercedes to keep Minnesota's hopes alive. The Twins came through in the bottom of the frame with a walkoff RBI single by Jorge Polanco, gifting Rogers with his first win of the year. Though he's the top guy in the Twins' bullpen now, the left-hander has collected only two saves this season, most recently back on May 3 against the Rangers.

Bazardo exited Tuesday's minor-league game with an apparent right arm injury, Katie Morrison of MassLiveSports reports.

The 25-year-old sailed a pitch to the backstop and immediately grabbed at his arm during Tuesday's game for Triple-A Worchester. Bazardo figures to be unavailable for at least a few days while being evaluated.

Rodriguez (shoulder) felt good after throwing a bullpen session Tuesday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The 22-year-old had yet to resume throwing around this time last week, so the fact that he's now throwing off a mound represents significant progress in his recovery. Rodriguez may require a couple more bullpen sessions or live batting practice before returning from the injured list.
