The Red Sox reinstated Andriese (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday and designated him for assignment.

Andriese looks to be healthy again after he recently completed a three-game rehab assignment, but rather than reporting to Boston, he'll stick around at Triple-A Worcester for the time being while waiting to see how the waiver process plays out. If Andriese goes unclaimed by MLB's other 29 teams, he could continue pitching out of the Worcester bullpen with the hope of earning a call-up to Boston during the final six weeks of the season. Over 37.1 innings in the majors this season, Andriese has posted a 6.03 ERA and 1.77 WHIP.

The Red Sox reinstated Taylor from the COVID-19-related injured list ahead of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Yankees.

Taylor was on the COVID-19 IL for only two days, an indication that he never tested positive for the virus and was instead deactivated for contact-tracing reasons. With the reliever having cleared all health and safety protocols in quick fashion, he should be available out of the bullpen for the twin bill. Through 48 appearances on the season, Taylor has posted a 3.23 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 51:20 in 39 innings.

Hendriks struck out the side in the ninth inning to record the save in Monday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.

Hendriks, who had allowed three home runs in his last two ninth-inning appearances, had no issues dispatching Oakland batters Monday. He was the third in a line of dominant relief performances, following Michael Kopech (two innings, three strikeouts) and Craig Kimbrel (one inning, three strikeouts). The save was Hendriks' 27th and allays concerns that built up over the previous two outings.

Fleming (10-6) picked up the win Monday, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over 5.2 innings of relief in a 9-2 victory over the Orioles. He struck out two.

Collin McHugh worked two scoreless innings before Fleming entered the game, and the southpaw got the credit when the Rays took the lead for good in the fourth. Fleming has had a couple brutal outings in the second half but he's still gotten the win in four of his last seven appearances as he swings between starting and a bulk-relief role. On the season, he sports a 4.86 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 62:29 K:BB through 96.1 innings.

Barlow (5-3) allowed a run on two hits in 1.2 innings, earning the win Monday over Houston.

Barlow yielded a solo home run to Jason Castro in the ninth inning, but he was able to limit the damage there for a 7-6 Kansas City win. It was just the third homer Barlow has allowed in 57 innings this season. The right-hander has posted a strong 2.68 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 72:22 K:BB while adding six saves and 14 holds in a high-leverage role.

Wittgren (2-6) allowed an unearned run on three hits and three walks in 1.2 innings, taking the loss versus Minnesota on Monday. He struck out none.

The right-hander successfully kept the game tied despite loading the bases in the ninth inning. In the 10th, he didn't get so lucky, as he loaded the bases again and surrendered a walkoff double to Jorge Polanco. Wittgren has allowed two unearned runs in his last 9.1 innings, but both instances have led to him taking a loss. The 30-year-old has a 4.40 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 52:12 K:BB, one save and seven holds through 45 innings this season.

Hernandez allowed four runs on eight hits over six innings in Monday's win over Houston. He struck out one and did not factor in the decision.

Hernandez coughed up an RBI single to Yordan Alvarez in the first inning but kept Houston's lineup quiet over the next three frames. He then allowed three runs in the fifth and sixth innings, including a pair of solo homers by Aledmys Diaz and Carlos Correa. It was the first time all season that the 24-year-old gave up multiple home runs in one outing. His ERA jumped to 4.33 alongside a 52:25 K:BB on the year. Hernandez is expected to face the Cubs in Chicago this weekend.

Jax allowed four runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks over six innings in Monday's win over Cleveland. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Jax coughed up a two-run homer to Bradley Zimmer in the second inning and was later charged with an unearned run in the fifth and sixth frames. It was his fifth straight outing giving up three or fewer earned runs, lowering his ERA to 5.11 through 10 career appearances. Jax is also sporting a 21:7 K:BB over those last five starts. The right-handed rookie is projected to face the Yankees on the road this weekend.

Ridings was returned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.

Ridings had served as a replacement player in the Yankees' bullpen since early August, and he posted a 1.80 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in five innings across five appearances since he joined the major-league roster. However, he'll return to the Triple-A club since Jordan Montgomery is expected to be reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list to start Tuesday's matinee against the Red Sox.

Green allowed a hit and no walks while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Monday's win over the Angels.

Green had earned wins in each of his last two outings, and he received the save opportunity Monday with Aroldis Chapman (elbow) on the 10-day injured list. The right-hander has posted a 3.68 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 14.2 innings across 12 appearances since the All-Star break, but he's converted just one of his four save chances during that time. He should remain the favorite for ninth-inning work while Chapman is sidelined.
