Fairbanks finished the regular season with seven consecutive scoreless appearances spanning 6.1 innings during which he allowed six hits and generated a 7:3 K:BB.

The solid run to wrap up the campaign was certainly encouraging after Fairbanks experienced some early stumbles following a month-plus stay on the injured list in late summer due to a shoulder injury. The right-hander should garner a spot on the Rays' ALDS roster and serve as a trusted member of the bullpen after posting three holds and three saves across 12.1 innings during the team's 2020 run that culminated in a World Series loss to the Dodgers.

Feyereisen generated a 1.08 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 10.8 K/9 and three holds over the 8.1 innings covering his last seven appearances of the regular season.

Feyereisen tuned up for the upcoming postseason in fine fashion, putting the finishing touches on a strong 2020 campaign that he split between the Brewers and Rays. The right-hander was especially effective during his time with Tampa Bay, posting a 4-2 record, 2.45 ERA, six holds and three saves across 36.2 innings. Given his body of work, Feyereisen projects to be a key component of the Rays' postseason bullpen arsenal.

Fleming (10-8) allowed a run on two hits in one-third of an inning, taking the loss versus the Yankees on Sunday.

The southpaw allowed singles to Rougned Odor and Anthony Rizzo in the bottom of the ninth inning before Andrew Kittredge surrendered the walkoff single to Aaron Judge. Fleming has given up three runs on four hits and a walk over his last 3.2 innings in four relief appearances. The 25-year-old ended the regular season with a 5.09 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 65:31 K:BB across 104.1 innings in 26 outings (11 starts).

Chapman allowed a walk and struck out two in a scoreless inning to earn the win Sunday over Tampa Bay.

Baserunners came at a premium in Game 162, with the Yankees' pitching staff allowing his five hits and four walks in the contest. Chapman was able to keep the Rays off the board in the ninth inning, setting up a walkoff single by Aaron Judge to secure the Yankees' spot in Tuesday's AL Wild Card Game versus Boston. Chapman ends the regular season having allowed six runs in his last 26.2 innings since the All-Star break. He has a 3.36 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 97:38 K:BB across 56.1 innings overall while serving as the Yankees' closer.

Pivetta fired a perfect inning with one strikeout to earn the save in Sunday's 7-5 win over Washington.

Manager Alex Cora used an all-hands-on-deck approach in the late innings Sunday, with Eduardo Rodriguez earning the win with a scoreless eighth inning before Pivetta converted his second major-league save. The right-hander has posted a mediocre 4.66 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 46.1 innings across 10 starts since the start of August, so he's no lock for a rotation spot should the Red Sox get past Tuesday's AL Wild Card Game versus the Yankees.

Ortega (1-0) fired 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit to earn the win over the Mariners on Sunday.

Ortega relieved Reid Detmers with two outs and a runner on first in the second inning. He retired Ty France to end the inning, and he held the lead in the third frame to receive his first win. The 24-year-old finished the season with a 4.82 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in his eight relief appearances.

Lopez (4-4) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk in a third of an inning to take the loss against the Tigers on Sunday.

Lopez entered Sunday's game to preserve a tie in the top of the ninth inning, but he gave up a home run to lead off the frame before allowing two more runs to come across prior to his removal. The right-hander allowed at least two runs in five of his last six outings of the regular season, and he'll likely pitch out of the bullpen during the playoffs.

Jimenez (6-1) allowed no hits and a walk while striking out two in a scoreless inning to earn the win against the White Sox on Sunday.

Jimenez gave up at least one run in three of his final six appearances of the year, but he was sharp in Sunday's regular-season finale to earn his sixth win of 2021. The right-hander posted a 5.96 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in 45.1 innings and earned a save along with five holds across his 52 relief appearances this season.

Fulmer worked around a hit to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and record the save in Sunday's win over the White Sox.

The save was the 14th of the season for Fulmer, which was four behind Gregory Soto (finger) for the team lead. Fulmer had a nice rebound campaign in his second year back after Tommy John surgery, finishing the season with a 2.97 ERA and 73 strikeouts across 69.2 innings after recording an 8.78 ERA in 2020. The former starter looked comfortable in a relief role, and he should be a key member of Detroit's bullpen in 2022.

Alexander allowed one run across six innings but did not factor into the decision Sunday against the White Sox. He gave up four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Alexander left the game with a 2-1 lead but lost his chance at his third win of the year when the White Sox tied the game in the seventh inning. The lefty pitched well to end the season, allowing just four runs across 17 innings in his last three starts. The good stretch of games brought his ERA down to 3.81, which is a new career best. Alexander figures to give the Tigers an option as a starter or long reliever in 2022, potentially swinging between the two roles as he's done so far in his career.
