Alexander allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out five in six innings during Sunday's win over the White Sox. He didn't factor into the decision.

Although Alexander posted a second consecutive quality start Sunday, he was unable to pick up the win since the Tigers didn't generate any runs until the top of the seventh inning. However, it was encouraging to see the southpaw limit run production once again after he gave up 11 runs (10 earned) in 9.1 innings over his first two September starts. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Twins on Saturday.

Voth allowed one run on four hits over five innings against the Astros on Sunday. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

Voth coughed up one run in the third inning and was in line to take a tough-luck loss before the Orioles forced extra innings. After producing a brutal 10.13 ERA in 19 appearances with the Nationals this season, the 30-year-old righty has produced a 2.77 ERA with a 69:23 K:BB through 78 innings as an Oriole. Voth has given up two or fewer runs in nine straight appearances. He's lined up for a road start against the Yankees next week.

Sewald (5-4) got the win over the Royals on Saturday, firing two scoreless innings during which he allowed one hit.

Sewald breezed through his pair of frames, during which he preserved a 5-5 tie, on just 17 pitches. The right-hander was then rewarded for his efficient and mistake-free work when Cal Raleigh laced a go-ahead double in the ninth that gave the Mariners a lead they didn't relinquish. Sewald has 19 saves on the season as well, but Andres Munoz, who got the ninth-inning call Saturday, also remains a viable candidate for such opportunities over the final week-plus of the season.

Burke (7-4) took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits while issuing two walks and striking out two batters over 2.1 innings.

Burke entered the game in the seventh and struck out Oscar Gonzalez swinging to start the inning before giving up a solo homer to Andres Gimenez on a 2-1 slider. After retiring the next two batters, Burke returned in the eighth and allowed a leadoff walk to Steven Kwan followed by a ground-rule double in the next at-bat to put the Rangers down 3-1. The reliever has still allowed just three earned runs in six September appearances (10.1 innings) with a 12:6 K:BB over that stretch.

Snider was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.

He will head down to make room for Sunday's starter, Max Castillo. Snider has a 6.82 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 20 strikeouts in 33 MLB innings.

Pressly picked up the save Saturday against the Orioles. He allowed one run on one hit while striking out one over one inning.

Pressly entered the game tasked with protecting a two-run lead and immediately gave up a solo home run to Rougned Odor on a 1-0 pitch to lead off the inning. However, the Astros closer was able to retire the next three batters he faced to to seal an 11-10 victory on an eventful night at Camden Yards. Pressly has converted his last 10 save attempts dating back to Aug. 9.

Castillo was recalled from Triple-A Omaha ahead of his start Sunday against the Mariners.

Castillo most recently logged a scoreless inning at Triple-A on Thursday and he has not made a traditional start since Sept. 15, so it's probably a long shot for Castillo to go deep enough to qualify for the win. He has pitched five or more innings in one of his 11 appearances in the majors this year. Castillo has been effective to the tune of a 2.97 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 28 strikeouts in 30.1 innings.

Baumann did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing two runs on three hits with two walks over four innings against Houston. He struck out two.

Baumann allowed Mauricio Dubon to reach on a leadoff single to begin the third inning before serving up a two-homer to Jose Altuve on a hanging, four-seam fastball. In the fourth he walked Alex Bregman to put the leadoff man on base for the third inning in a row but managed to escape the inning thanks in large part to a double-play ball. It was only the second time this season that the 27-year-old went four or more innings.

Montero (5-2) earned the win Saturday against the Orioles. He allowed two runs on two hits while striking out one over one inning.

Montero entered in the eighth inning with the game tied and gave up a single to Ryan Mountcastle to lead things off followed by a two-run homer from Anthony Santander to put the Astros down 9-7. However, Houston's offense came right back to score four runs in the ninth and give Montero the victory. The reliever had not allowed a run in nine straight appearances coming in, and it was his first win since July 28.

Bautista (4-4) blew the save and took the loss Saturday against the Astros. He allowed four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two over 1.1 innings.

Bautista relieved Dillon Tate in the top of the eighth with one out and a runner on first. After getting Kyle Tucker to strike out swinging, Bautista served up a double to Yuli Gurriel to drive home Yordan Alvarez and tie the game at 7-7. The right-hander came back out in the ninth and gave up a leadoff single and a walk to start the inning en route to ultimately being tagged for four runs. It was just Bautista's second blown save of the season and the first time he's been charged with a loss since July 31.
