Lopez has a 6.43 ERA and 1.29 WHIP across his last seven appearances while also picking up one win, one hold, one loss and one blown save.

Lopez has made seven appearances since Liam Hendriks (elbow) last took the mound, four of which have been scoreless. He's allowed multiple runs on two other occasions and has particularly struggled with his control by walking four batters across seven frames. Lopez continues to pitch late in games, though most of his appearances in recent weeks have come with the White Sox losing. Between his inconsistent success and usage, a return to regular save chances doesn't seem likely for Lopez in the near future.

Kelly threw a scoreless seventh inning while allowing a hit and a walk Thursday against the Angels.

Kelly entered the game in the seventh inning, the first reliever after Lance Lynn was lifted. He successfully held the lead and turned in his sixth consecutive scoreless outing, during which he has picked up two holds and maintained a 6:3 K:BB. Though he's been effective for most of the campaign, Kelly has only one save and looks to be behind Kendall Graveman for save chances with Liam Hendriks (elbow) sidelined.

Tarnok (shoulder) dealt with a blister issue during his rehab start with Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Tarnok gave up two runs in four innings while getting his pitch count up to 61 in the outing but developed a blister. He's considered day-to-day, so it's possible he could be ready in time for his next rehab start. Tarnok has been on the injured list all season with a right shoulder strain.

Harris will start for the Athletics on Thursday against the Yankees, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The A's had held off naming a starter until now, but Harris always made the most sense. The rookie left-hander struggled his last time out, but that rough outing had been preceded by a 2.57 ERA across his prior 28 innings. This will only be Harris' third traditional start, but he's also had several bulk relief appearances.

Sandlin (4-3) didn't allow a baserunner over 1.1 scoreless innings and struck out two to earn the win in Wednesday's 14-1 victory over the Royals.

Starter Logan Allen went just 3.2 innings due to a high pitch count (98), so Sandlin was in line for the win, his second in as many appearances. He's given up three runs over 9.1 innings in June, and Sandlin has been solid as a middle reliever with no clearly defined role in the Guardians' bullpen. He has a 3.14 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB with two holds through 28.2 innings this season. The right-hander will likely continue to serve in somewhat of a fireman role, but he's unlikely to see much late-inning work.

Akin (2-2) allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk while striking out two in two-thirds of an inning, taking the extra-inning loss versus the Reds on Wednesday.

Akin was brought in for the top of the 10th inning and couldn't complete the frame. His performance has taken a drastic downturn over the last week -- he's allowed 13 runs (10 earned) over four innings across his last four appearances. The slump has him at a 6.85 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB through 23.2 innings on the year. If Akin can't get back on track soon, he could find himself optioned out to Triple-A Norfolk.

Misiewicz was designated for assignment by the Tigers on Thursday.

The move clears out a 40-man roster spot for Zach Logue, who is joining Detroit's bullpen ahead of Thursday's series finale against the Rangers. Misiewicz has allowed eight earned runs on 15 hits and three walks over 8.1 major-league innings this season between the Tigers and Diamondbacks.

The Tigers selected Logue's contract from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Logue was removed from the 40-man roster over the offseason but has gotten the spot back even after collecting a 5.92 ERA across 15 appearances (13 starts) with Toledo. Presumably, he'll be in line for long-relief duty.

Snead (shoulder) was credited with a hold in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Round Rock on Wednesday, allowing an earned run on two hits and a walk over 1.1 innings.

Snead had to navigate some trouble that included a solo home run allowed to J.P. Martinez and pushed his pitch count to 30 in the process. The left-hander has logged at least one frame in four of his seven rehab appearances, and although he's allowed one earned run in four of his five outings with the Aviators, he appears built up enough for the relief role he'd fill at the big-league level.

Tarnok (shoulder) allowed two earned runs on one hit and four walks over four innings in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Round Rock on Wednesday. He did not record a strikeout.

The subpar control wasn't ideal, but it did serve to boost Tarnok's pitch count to 61 offerings, the biggest workload yet of his rehab assignment. The right-hander is likely on the cusp of activation, but even with 12.2 minor-league frames under his belt, the Athletics may want to give Tarnok at least one more outing on the farm to push his pitch count into the 70-to-75 pitch range.
