The Angels recalled Fermin from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.

In 16 outings out of the Angels' bullpen this season, Fermin has logged a 5.40 ERA and 18:13 K:BB over 15 innings. He will be utilized in a middle relief role.

The Angels selected Kerry's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.

It's the first-ever major-league promotion for Kerry, who has posted a 5.92 ERA and 59:21 K:BB over 62.1 innings with Salt Lake this season. The 27-year-old will be available out of the Angels' bullpen but will be a candidate to start later this week in place of the injured Grayson Rodriguez (back), depending on his usage.

Anderson will start a bullpen game for the Tigers on Monday in Houston, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Troy Melton (back) was scratched from his scheduled start, so the Tigers will turn to Anderson on short notice to open Monday's contest. Anderson tossed 4.2 scoreless frames in a spot start earlier this season and has often covered multiple innings out of the bullpen this season. However, Anderson recorded three or fewer outs in six of his last seven outings and will be pitching on two days' rest, so he won't last long Monday.

The Angels designated Pomeranz for assignment Monday.

Pomeranz had been unscored upon in seven of eight appearances since returning from left elbow inflammation, but he had a 4:4 K:BB over 8.1 innings during that stretch and a 5.01 ERA and 16:12 K:BB across 23.1 frames on the season. Given his $4 million salary, Pomeranz is sure to clear waivers, but the 37-year-old should quickly land in a new organization after that happens.

The Astros recalled Murray from Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It will be the fourth stint in the big leagues this season for Murray, who has not fared well in his first three outings with the Astros, holding a 7.15 ERA and 5:7 K:BB across 11.1 frames. Murray will give manager Joe Espada a fresh option in the bullpen.

The Astros optioned Santa to Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Santa has made eight relief appearances for Houston this season, giving up five runs (one earned) with an 8:5 KK:B over 12.2 frames. He had pitched both of the previous two days, so the Astros are sending Santa down in favor of a fresh bullpen arm in Jayden Murray, who was recalled from Sugar Land.

The Royals recalled Spence from Triple-A Omaha on Monday.

Spence will get the start Monday on the road against the Nationals. The right-hander permitted six runs over four innings in his lone appearance in the majors this season and has turned in a 6.54 ERA in 10 starts at Triple-A Omaha. Spence could earn additional turns in the rotation if things go well Monday.

The Royals acquired Seabold from the Blue Jays on Monday in exchange for Denis Samudio and cash considerations.

Seabold has made 16 relief appearances between the Tigers and Blue Jays this season, collecting a 4.26 ERA and 15:7 K:BB over 19 innings. The 30-year-old is capable of providing length for a Royals bullpen that could use it.

The Royals transferred Estevez (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Estevez has already been on the shelf for more than two months, so his move to the 60-day IL is merely procedural and won't affect his timeline for a return. The right-hander was initially deactivated April 1 due to a foot contusion, but he's since recovered from that injury and is now working his way back from a right rotator cuff strain, which he sustained during a minor-league rehab appearance in early May. Estevez resumed throwing off flat ground May 27 and could be cleared to start throwing off a mound this week.

Bachman (1-1) took the loss against the Rays on Sunday, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one batter over one inning.

When Bachman entered in the eighth inning, the game was tied 3-3. By the time the right-hander departed, Tampa Bay had taken an 8-3 lead, with four of the five runs against him coming via a pair of two-run homers. Bachman had been pitching great coming into Sunday, tossing 12 straight scoreless appearances and holding a 1.99 ERA over 31.2 overall innings on the campaign. That ERA is up to 3.31 now, but Bachman still figures to be a key high-leverage option for the Angels given his overall body of work this season.
