Bethancourt is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

Bethancourt will sit for the second day in a row while Nick Fortes receives another turn behind the plate. Neither Bethancourt (.349 OPS) nor Fortes (.336 OPS) has been productive at the plate this season and both typically bat near the bottom of the order when included in the lineup, making it difficult to extract any fantasy value from the Marlins' catching situation.

Diaz exited Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Padres with left hand soreness and will be held out of the lineup for Wednesday's series finale, MLB.com reports. He struck out in his lone plate appearance on the day.

Diaz exited in the third inning with recurring hand soreness. He's not expected to miss additional time beyond Wednesday's contest, but Jacob Stallings should be behind the dish for Colorado's series finale Wednesday.

Rogers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Rogers will take a seat for the day game after he caught all 10 innings of Tuesday night's 1-0 loss while going 0-for-3 with a strikeout. Carson Kelly will replace him behind the dish in the series finale.

The Nationals signed Stubbs to a minor-league contract Tuesday.

Stubbs had been in the Astros system but was released after slashing just .121/.244/.212 over 21 contests between the Double- and Triple-A levels. The 27-year-old will give the Nats some catching depth.

Jeffers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Yankees.

Jeffers gave Minnesota the lead with a solo homer as the team's first batter of the game. However, the Twins wouldn't score another run following Jeffers' round tripper, and Jeffers himself struck out in his final three plate appearances. The catcher has now hit double-digit homers in 2024 and is on pace to smash his career high of 14 long balls.

O'Hoppe went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Cardinals.

O'Hoppe got the Angels back into the game with a fourth-inning blast off Sonny Gray. Since returning from a minor hand issue May 6, O'Hoppe has gone 9-for-31 (.290) with eight RBI over eight games. The catcher is at a .268/.321/.402 slash line with three homers, 19 RBI, 15 runs scored, six doubles and a triple over 37 contests this season.

The Giants placed Bailey on the 7-day concussion injured list Tuesday.

Bailey missed the Giants' last two games due to an illness, and he met with a team doctor Monday to determine whether or not his illness was related to the concussion he suffered earlier in May. He'll now return to the 7-day IL and will be eligible to return to action Sunday, though the Giants will likely be more cautious this time around before activating him. Blake Sabol will take over as San Francisco's primary catcher while Bailey is out, and Marco Luciano will come up from Triple-A Sacramento to fill the open roster spot.

Lee isn't in the White Sox's lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus Washington.

Lee went 1-for-4 with a strikeout during a loss in Game 1, and he'll get a breather while Martin Maldonado starts behind the dish to conclude Tuesday's activities.

Herrera is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Angels.

Since last taking a seat Thursday, Herrera has slashed .467/.556/.467 in a four-game span. In his absence, Pedro Pages has the start at catcher and will bat eighth.

Jansen (back) is starting behind the plate and batting fifth Tuesday against the Orioles.

Jansen sat out Monday for the second straight game due to back spasms but is ready to play Tuesday. The fact the 29-year-old is immediately returning to work behind the plate indicates the injury wasn't a serious concern. Jansen has carried a hot bat through nine games in May with a 1.101 OPS in 28 at-bats.
