Smith is not in the lineup Tuesday against Arizona.

Smith and Austin Barnes have alternated starts behind the plate over the last six games. Barnes will take his turn Tuesday, but Smith should be back in the lineup Wednesday if the pattern continues.

Stephenson was recalled by the Reds on Tuesday.

The talented young backstop made his MLB debut back in late july, going 2-for-2 with a homer in his lone game. He doesn't have a clear path to playing time behind the plate down the stretch, with Tucker Barnhart and Curt Casali both healthy, but the Reds likely didn't call him up just to have him stuck on the bench, so he's likely to find his way into the lineup occasionally over the final three weeks.

Lee was added to the Astros' 60-man roster Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Lee was selected by the Astros with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2019 first-year player draft, and he'll now work at the team's alternate training site for developmental purposes to close out the 2020 season. The 22-year-old hit .266/.356/.380 with 29 RBI and a 10.6 percent walk rate in rookie ball last season during his first year in the minors.

Sanchez is starting Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Sanchez missed two consecutive games while slashing .130/.237/.350 with a 42.1 percent strikeout rate to begin the season. However, he's been working on his rhythm recently in hopes of generating more production at the plate. He'll catch and bat seventh in his return.

D'Arnaud is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

D'Arnaud hits the bench for the second time in the last three games, though this is likely just standard rotation behind the plate and not a sign that he's losing playing time, as he owns a .960 OPS over his last seven games. Tyler Flowers starts in his place Tuesday.

Perez is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Royals.

With Cleveland carrying three catchers, Perez may only start three or four days per week going forward. Sandy Leon is behind the dish and batting eighth in this one.

Grullon was recalled by the Red Sox to serve as the 29th man for Tuesday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

Grullon could get the chance to face his former team in his Red Sox debut if he gets into either game. He didn't make an appearance for the Phillies this season before being designated for assignment on deadline day, but he did appear for them in the first four games of his big-league career last September.

Murphy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's 6-0 win over the Astros.

Murphy homered for his second straight game with his second-inning solo shot Monday. He later walked and scored on a sacrifice fly by Ramon Laureano in the seventh. Murphy also hit a two-RBI single in the eighth to provide the Athletics with some insurance runs. The catcher is slashing .231/.341/.423 with four homers, nine RBI and 11 runs scored in 30 games this season.

Jansen went 1-for-3 with a grand slam and two walks in Monday's 12-7 win over the Yankees.

Jansen capped off a ridiculous 10-run sixth inning for Toronto with a 417-foot grand slam. It was the fourth homer of the season for the 25-year-old, who is up to 13 RBI with a .621 OPS.

Realmuto went 1-for-3 with two walks, a home run, one RBI and three runs scored Monday against the Mets.

Realmuto took Erasmo Ramirez deep in the fifth inning to record his 10th homer of the season. He also came around to score on two other occasions, both times reaching base on free passes. For the season, Realmuto is hitting .262/.347/.531 across 147 plate appearances.
