Diaz isn't starting Monday against San Francisco, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.

Diaz is getting a day off after he went 1-for-7 with two RBI, a walk and two strikeouts over the last two games. Brian Serven will start behind the dish and bat ninth.

McCann isn't starting Monday against the Brewers.

McCann has split playing time behind the dish recently and will head to the bench for a second consecutive game. Tomas Nido is starting behind the plate and batting ninth.

Contreras went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Phillies.

He's recorded a hit in each of his last four games, going 7-for-16 altogether to bring his batting average up to .278 for the season. Contreras looks to have taken back control of a spot in the everyday lineup from Marcell Ozuna, who is on the bench for Monday's series opener with the Nationals. Meanwhile, Contreras will serve as Atlanta's designated hitter and No. 7 hitter, marking his fifth consecutive start.

Stallings has a day off Monday versus the Cubs.

It appears to be a regular day of rest for Stallings, who caught Sandy Alcantara's complete game Sunday. The 32-year-old has a respectable .785 OPS in his last 10 games.

Gomes went 3-for-4 with a home run and three total RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rockies.

Gomes accounted for half of the Cubs' six hits. Two of those gave them their only scoring plays in the game -- a two-run single in the third inning and a solo shot in the sixth, both off Rockies starter Ryan Feltner. Gomes continues to see most of the starts at catcher with Willson Contreras (ankle) out, with P.J. Higgins holding down a backup role. This was Gomes' third multi-hit effort in September, a month in which he's hit .378 (14-for-37) with two long balls and eight RBI. He's up to a .242/.270/.375 slash line with eight homers, 28 RBI, 22 runs scored and two stolen bases through 78 contests overall.

Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Smith will take a seat for the series finale after a stretch of eight consecutive starts during which he went 7-for-32 (.219 average) with three extra-base hits and four walks. Austin Barnes will replace Smith behind the plate.

Campusano went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a 2-0 win against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Campusano made the most of a rare start behind the plate, swatting a solo homer off Zac Gallen in the fourth inning for one of two Padres runs in the contest. The long ball was his first this season and his second over 23 career games. Campusano has shown good pop in the minors, but he's clearly behind Austin Nola and Jorge Alfaro on San Diego's catcher depth chart for the time being.

McCann is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Pirates, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

McCann and Tomas Nido have alternated starts behind the plate over the past five contests, and that trend will continue after McCann started Saturday and went 0-for-4 with a strikeout. Nido will bat ninth in the series finale against Pittsburgh.

Adams is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus Miami, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The 26-year-old has started five of seven games since Keibert Ruiz (groin) landed on the injured list, though he'll step out of the lineup for Sunday's contest. Adams should continue to see an edge in playing time behind the plate with Ruiz not expected back this season, but Israel Pineda will start in the series finale against the Marlins.

D'Arnaud is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus Philadelphia.

D'Arnaud started behind the plate in the first two games of the series but will take a seat for the finale. William Contreras will shift to catcher while Marcell Ozuna serves as the designated hitter.
