Sanchez has been sidelined since July 25 while recovering from a concussion. He could be in line for a few more Triple-A games before rejoining the team.

Sandy Leon gets the call for a few days
The Nationals recalled catcher Sandy Leon from Triple-A Syracuse Tuesday, after Wilson Ramos was placed on the paternity leave list.
Leon appeared in 18 games earlier in the season with Ramos on the disabled list. He hit .169/.234/.237 in 59 at-bats, and is likely to spend just a few days with the team this time around.

Padres catcher Yasmani Grandal was unable to play Thursday against the Cardinals because of fluid buildup in his right knee, U-T San Diego reports. He is expected to be "fine" moving forward, according to manager Bud Black.

Catcher Devin Mesoraco did hit part in vain to try to lead the Reds to victory Wednesday against visiting Arizona.
Mesoraco blasted a three-run homer in the ninth inning off Diamondbacks closer Addison Reed to cut the deficit to 5-4. He had already singled in improving his stat line to .295/.367/.589. His 18 home runs leads all major league catchers.
