  • Omar Narvaez C | HOU

Mariners' Omar Narvaez: Not starting Sunday

Narvaez is not in the lineup Sunday against the White Sox.

Narvaez will sit the day after being the walkoff hero in the 10th inning of Saturday's contest. Tom Murphy will start behind the plate Sunday.

  • Rays' Travis d'Arnaud: Not starting Sunday

D'Arnaud is not in the lineup Sunday against the Angels.

D'Arnaud has kept up his strong performance at the plate down the stretch, hitting .300/.353/.500 over his last 17 games. Mike Zunino starts behind the plate Sunday.

  • James McCann C | ARI

White Sox's James McCann: Heads to bench

McCann is not in the lineup Sunday against Seattle.

McCann has alternated between the lineup and the bench for the last six games. Zack Collins gets the start behind the plate for Sunday's contest.

  • Mitch Garver C | SEA

Twins' Mitch Garver: Not starting Sunday

Garver is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Cleveland.

Garver went 1-for-4 during Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader and will take a seat for a second straight contest. Willians Astudillo takes over being the plate while C.J. Cron starts at first base Sunday.

  • Rays' Travis d'Arnaud: Sole source of runs

D'Arnaud went 2-for-4 with a three-run double in a win over the Angels on Saturday.

D'Arnaud was the sole supplier of runs for the Rays courtesy of his clutch sixth-inning hit, which came with the bases loaded. The versatile veteran is hitting a rather ordinary .250 (8-for-32) in September, but he's managed to drive in 11 runs on that modest tally by virtue of some extremely timely hitting. Factoring in the three runs d'Arnaud plated Saturday, his career-high RBI total now stands at 65.

  • Jose Trevino C | CIN

Rangers' Jose Trevino: Enters for injured Mathis

Trevino entered Saturday's game after starter Jeff Mathis was removed due to a back injury. He went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in an 8-6 loss to the Athletics.

Trevino was slated for a day off after three consecutive starts, but the rest lasted just two innings. After a slow start at the dish, Trevino has picked up since late August, batting .381 (16-for-42) and never going more than one start without a hit. The Mathis injury should not affect his role as Trevino was already starting the bulk of games. Isiah Kiner-Falefa should serve as the backup while Mathis is unavailable.

  • Zack Collins C | CLE

White Sox's Zack Collins: Snaps hitless run

Collins went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

Collins' second-inning double snapped an 0-for-19 run of futility. Despite the struggles at the dish, Collins made his fifth straight start Saturday. The White Sox are giving the 2016 first-round pick, who is batting just .113 in the majors, a chance to establish himself against major-league pitching.

  • Omar Narvaez C | HOU

Mariners' Omar Narvaez: Walks it off in 10th

Narvaez went 1-for-4 with a walk and a walkoff solo home run in the 10th inning of Saturday's 2-1 win over the White Sox.

He stuck it to his former club, driving an Alex Colome cutter off the top of the wall in right field that was confirmed as the game-winning homer after review. Narvaez has gone yard twice in the last three games, and on the year he's slashing .280/.355/.468 with 21 homers through 121 contests after hitting only 12 in 221 career games during his three seasons with the White Sox.

  • Indians' Roberto Perez: Sits for Game 2

Perez is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Twins.

He went 2-for-3 with a strikeout in Game 1, accounting for two of the Indians' five hits as they lost 2-0. Kevin Plawecki is starting behind the dish and hitting eighth.

  • Mitch Garver C | SEA

Twins' Mitch Garver: Sitting in nightcap

Garver is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Indians.

He went 1-for-4 in the day game and had some key frame jobs to help the Twins to a 2-0 victory. Jason Castro will start behind the dish and hit eighth in the night game.
