Rutschman is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Rutschman started the previous four games but will sit Friday amid a 3-for-21 mini-slump. James McCann will step in behind the plate to form a battery with Corbin Burnes.

Rogers is not in the lineup for Friday's game against Toronto.

Carson Kelly will get the start at catcher as Rogers sits for a second straight game. The 29-year-old Rogers has started only four of Detroit's last 12 games, and he's gone just 2-for-16 over that span with a 1:7 BB:K.

Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals.

The backup catcher has generally played well in 2024, posting a .340/.431/.580 slash line over 58 plate appearances. He's added three home runs, three doubles, eight RBI and nine runs scored, but the 26-year-old remains firmly behind Shea Langeliers on the depth chart.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Trevino was removed from Thursday's game versus the Mariners due to illness, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Trevino was lifted in favor of pinch hitter Austin Wells in the bottom of the eighth inning after going 1-for-3 with a single in his first three plate appearances. Boone expects Trevino to be fine to travel with the team for its road trip beginning this weekend, so consider the catcher day-to-day.

Langeliers will get a breather for the day game after catching both of the first two games of the series. Kyle McCann will be behind the dish for the Athletics on Thursday.

Heim is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phillies.

The Rangers are wrapping up their series in Philadelphia with a day game after a night game, so Heim will be given a day of rest. Andrew Knizner will pick up the start at catcher.

Raleigh is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Yankees.

Raleigh started the first three games of the series against the Yankees and hit a home run in Wednesday's 7-3 loss, but he'll get a breather for Thursday's afternoon tilt. Seby Zavala will draw the start at catcher.
