Thaiss is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

After going 0-for-2 while playing six innings behind the plate in Tuesday's 5-1 loss, Thaiss will retreat to the bench Wednesday while Danny Jansen gets the nod behind the plate. Since being acquired from the White Sox and activated May 28, Thaiss has started in seven of the Rays' ensuing 20 games and has batted .250 with no extra-base hits.

Rutschman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Rutschman will take a seat after going 2-for-9 with a solo home run over the first two games of the series. Gary Sanchez will start behind the plate Wednesday.

Jeffers (hand) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Jeffers' absence from the lineup comes as little surprise after he was removed from Tuesday's 6-5 loss when he was struck in his throwing hand by a foul ball. Fortunately for Jeffers, he was diagnosed with a bruise after X-rays on his hand returned negative, so the Twins are viewing him as day-to-day and are optimistic he'll avoid a trip to the injured list. Christian Vazquez will draw the start behind the plate Wednesday after he came on to replace Jeffers on Tuesday.

Heim is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Royals.

Heim will get a routine day off after he served as the Rangers' catcher in Tuesday's 6-1 loss. Kyle Higashioka will be behind the dish and will bat eighth Wednesday.

Wells is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Angels.

Wells will get a breather Wednesday after he started at catcher in both of the first two games of the series. Ben Rice will pick up his first career start at catcher for the Yankees after having previously served as a designated hitter or first baseman since making his MLB debut last summer.

The Red Sox reinstated Garcia (knee) from Single-A Salem's 60-day injured list June 10 and assigned him to High-A Greenville.

Garcia has played in five games since joining Greenville, making three starts at catcher while going 5-for-18 with a double and three walks. While playing with Salem in 2024, Garcia sustained a knee injury that required season-ending surgery. He was held out of action for just over a year before he began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on May 20. The 20-year-old backstop slashed .316/.333/.632 with three home runs in 12 games in the FCL before he was cleared to join Greenville.

Wong will start at catcher and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Though he'll get the start behind the dish in the series finale, Wong doesn't appear to be making a serious push to supplant Carlos Narvaez as the Red Sox's No. 1 catcher. Narvaez has produced a .917 OPS since the beginning of May, while Wong is slashing just .179/.289/.179 over that same stretch of action.

Narvaez is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Seattle.

Narvaez started at catcher in both of the first two games of the series, so he'll get a breather in Wednesday's matinee. Connor Wong will fill in behind the dish and bat ninth for the Red Sox.

Raleigh went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, six RBI, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-0 win over Boston.

It was an outstanding performance by Raleigh, who piled up a season-high six RBI while recording the eighth steal of his sensational campaign. The switch-hitting backstop is already up to 27 homers through 263 at-bats in 2025, matching his total from his first full MLB season in 2022, and his eight pilfers also represent a career high. After smashing a career-high 34 long balls a year ago, Raleigh is well on pace to shatter that figure this season.

X-rays on Jeffers' right hand revealed no structural damage after he exited Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Reds upon getting struck on his right hand by a foul ball in the fifth inning, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Jeffers has been diagnosed with a contusion and is considered day-to-day. Christian Vazquez replaced him behind the plate Tuesday and is likely to start Wednesday, but Jeffers isn't expected to be out of the lineup for long.
