Maton was not included on the Phillies' NLDS roster, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Maton was part of the team's roster for the NL Wild Card Series but didn't make an appearance. His defensive versatility makes him interesting as a bench option, but the Phillies elected to go with Dalton Guthrie instead.

Walls will be on the bench for Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series against the Guardians on Saturday.

The light-hitting infielder started at second base in Game 1 but failed to record any of the Rays' three hits and was eventually lifted for a pinch hitter. Sosa missed the last few weeks of the season with a hamstring strain but has been cleared to play in the playoffs. The 26-year-old produced a .227/.275/.369 slash line in 78 games between the Cardinals and Phillies this year and will be a utility option in the infield for Philadelphia now that he's healthy.

Ramirez went 4-for-5 with a double, two RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's 9-2 victory over the Royals.

The 30-year-old wrapped up the season with his second four-hit effort of 2022, a fitting end to what has been another dominant campaign. Among his hits were two RBI singles, giving him 126 on the season, which is good for third in the majors. In 156 games, Ramirez slashed .280/.355/.514 with 29 home runs, 44 doubles and 20 stolen bases.

Henderson is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Blue Jays.

Tyler Nevin will pick up the start at third base while Henderson takes a seat for the season finale. Henderson went 2-for-3 with two runs and a walk in the Orioles' 5-4 win in Game 1, improving his slash line to .261/.346/.443 since he arrived in the big leagues Aug. 31.

Escobar isn't starting Wednesday against the Nationals.

Escobar is getting a rare chance to rest during Wednesday's regular-season finale after he went 2-for-12 with a run, an RBI, three walks and five strikeouts over the last four games. Mark Vientos will start at the hot corner and bat seventh.

Riley isn't starting Wednesday against Miami.

Riley has gone 0-for-10 with a run, two walks and five strikeouts over the last three games, and he'll get a rare day off for Wednesday's regular-season finale. Ehire Adrianza is starting at the hot corner and batting ninth.

Arenado (undisclosed) is starting Wednesday against the Pirates, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Arenado sat out Tuesday as a precautionary move, but he'll start at the hot corner and bat third in Wednesday's regular-season finale. However, the 31-year-old is expected to have just two plate appearances so he can get some extra rest rest ahead of the postseason.

Suarez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

After starting in each of Seattle's last four games including both ends of Tuesday's doubleheader, Suarez will get a breather in the regular-season finale. Abraham Toro will fill in for Suarez at third base Wednesday.
