Tyler Freeman RF | COL
Guardians' Tyler Freeman: On bench again
Freeman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Following his promotion from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, Freeman went 2-for-8 with two walks and a run while drawing three straight starts at three different positions in the infield. Despite the respectable start to his big-league career, Freeman will be on the bench Sunday for the second contest in a row and looks like he'll have to settle for a utility role while he's up with the big club.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Phillies' Jean Segura: Receives Sunday off
Segura is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Segura started the past three games after being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Thursday, and he'll take a seat for the series finale versus Washington after going 3-for-10 with a run and a stolen base. Nick Maton will man the keystone and bat ninth for the Phillies.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Takes seat Sunday
Urias is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Urias started the past 23 contests and will receive Sunday off after posting a .372 OPS through the first five games of August. Terrin Vavra will make the start at second base, pushing Rougned Odor to the hot corner.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Plays first base Saturday
Jung (shoulder) started at first base and went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run for the Rangers' affiliate in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.
That's two consecutive games with a home run for Jung. After undergoing shoulder surgery in February, he is rehabbing in the ACL and is beginning to play the field. After serving as a DH-only to start his rehab, Jung has made four starts in the field (three at 3B and one at 1B).

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Goes yard in win
Miranda went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Blue Jays.
In his last 12 games, Miranda has gone 17-for-44 (.386) with five extra-base hits and 14 RBI. The 24-year-old is seeing most of his time at the corner infield spots lately as he continues to force his way into the lineup. The recent surge has him up to a .277/.325/.477 slash line with 11 homers, 46 RBI, 28 runs scored, 14 doubles and a stolen base through 70 contests.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Homers, swipes bag
McMahon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in a 3-2 win against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
McMahon walked and stole second in the fourth inning before launching the game-winning home run 421 feet to center in the ninth. The 27-year-old is in the midst of a scorching opening week of August, going 8-for-18 with two homers, two doubles and two stolen bases in six contests this month. The torrid stretch has upped McMahon's line to .242/.337/.392 with 10 long balls, 40 runs, 50 RBI and a career-high seven stolen bases.

Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Mariners' Abraham Toro: Optioned to Triple-A
Toro was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.
Toro has appeared in 84 games this season for the Mariners, but he hit just .180, and the team decided to send him to Tacoma to open up a roster spot for Mitch Haniger. Toro figures to be among the top candidates next time the Mariners need to bring up a hitter from the minors.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Reaches base four times
Walls went 1-for-2 with three walks and two runs scored Friday against the Tigers.
Walls has started 11 of 14 games since the All-Star break, though Friday's effort marked only the third time he's reached base multiple times in that span. While he's maintained only a .139 average across those 11 starts, he's managed to score seven runs thanks to an 18.2 percent walk rate. Overall, Walls has a .548 OPS across 312 plate appearances this season, but he has been the regular starting shortstop since Wander Franco (wrist) was sidelined.
-
Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA
Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Resting Saturday
Wisdom is not in the lineup Saturday against Miami.
Wisdom's three strikeouts in Friday's series opener raised his strikeout rate on the season to 33.4 percent, but he's shown enough power to overcome his contact issues. Thanks to a 15.3 percent barrel rate, he owns a .222/.318/.452 slash line, good for a 114 wRC+. Zach McKinstry starts at third base in his absence.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Swipes 12th bag
Hayes went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and a stolen base in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Orioles.
He was the only Pirates hitter to have any real success on the night, as nobody else in the lineup managed an extra-base hit or even got on base more than once. Hayes is up to 12 steals on the season, but he's been struggling to build momentum at the plate since the All-Star break, slashing .217/.294/.326 over his last 13 games with one home run, one run and four RBI.
