Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Powers victory
Machado went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBI in a 9-3 win against the Rockies on Saturday.
Machado singled in the first inning, doubled home a run and scored in the third, knocked in another run in the fifth and walked and scored in the seventh. The 30-year-old has reached base three times in two of his last three contests -- batting 4-for-10 with three walks during the stretch -- and is now slashing .298/.369/.532 with 30 home runs, 94 runs, 97 RBI and eight stolen bases in 141 games.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Dealing with lower back discomfort
Hayes isn't starting Saturday against the Cubs due to lower back discomfort, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Hayes is on the bench for a third consecutive matchup Saturday, but it's encouraging that he's served as a pinch hitter in recent days. It wouldn't be surprising to see the 25-year-old available off the bench once again, and he should be considered day-to-day for now.

Ryan Kreidler 3B | MIN
Tigers' Ryan Kreidler: On bench Saturday
Kreidler isn't starting Saturday against the White Sox.
Kreidler is out of the lineup for the third time in the last four games after he went 2-for-4 with a strikeout Friday. Jeimer Candelario will start at the hot corner and bat seventh.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Return uncertain
LeMahieu (toe) remains unable to play, and it's not clear when or if he'll be able to return this season, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
There was some optimism earlier this week that LeMahieu could potentially return to action during this weekend's homestand versus Boston, but the veteran infielder still hasn't been able to swing at 100 percent during batting practice. He has indicated that he's feeling better but has also explained that he isn't able to play in his current state. Manager Aaron Boone hasn't ruled out the possibility of LeMahieu returning during next week's three-game series in Toronto, but that sounds like an unlikely scenario given LeMahieu's continuing inability to move past the injury. Boone acknowledged the uncertainty of LeMahieu's timeframe for a return, calling the injury a "great unkown" and saying, "It's been a really tricky injury to get our arms around. What treatments we can do, if and when you can do a shot, things like that. We'll see."

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Good to go
Urias (neck/shoulder) will bat fifth and play third base Saturday against Houston, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Urias was scratched Friday due to neck and shoulder spasms, but the issue evidently wasn't very serious. He'll look to climb out of his slump Saturday, as he has just four hits in his last 12 games.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Brewers' Jace Peterson: Sitting again Saturday
Peterson isn't starting Saturday against the Reds.
Peterson is out of the lineup for a second consecutive game after going 0-for-11 with a run, a walk and three strikeouts over his last four matchups. Luis Urias will start at the hot corner and bat seventh.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Sits again Saturday
Hayes will sit for the third straight game Saturday against the Cubs.
Hayes doesn't seem to be dealing with an injury, but it's unusual to see him stuck on the bench. He hasn't been completely shut down, as he appeared off the bench in Thursday's series opener. Perhaps the Pirates simply wanted to avoid overtaxing the 25-year-old at the end of an uncompetitive season. Rodolfo Castro will get the start at third base.
-
Jordan Groshans 3B | ATL
Marlins' Jordan Groshans: Takes seat Saturday
Groshans isn't starting Saturday against the Nationals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Groshans started the last four games and went 3-for-14 with a run, an RBI, a walk and a strikeout. Jon Berti will take over at the hot corner and lead off Saturday.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Still not starting
Walls (groin) isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Blue Jays, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Walls was scratched from Friday's lineup due to right groin tightness, but he appeared off the bench and scored a run. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available off the bench Saturday.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Racks up three hits
Longoria went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Friday's 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks.
Longoria continues to remain in a short-side platoon role. His multi-hit effort Friday was his second in September, and he's hit just .185 with three doubles and six RBI this month. For the season, the slump has him down to a .241/.314/.435 slash line with 12 home runs, 34 RBI, 29 runs scored and 13 doubles through 283 plate appearances.
