Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Sitting versus lefty Wednesday
Muncy is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Brewers.
Muncy will head to the bench after he went 1-for-18 with two RBI, a run scored and seven punchouts over his last five games. Pair that with the fact that left-hander Wade Miley is toeing the rubber for Milwaukee on Wednesday and Muncy is batting .139 against southpaws in 2023, and it seems like a good day to give the 32-year-old a breather. Chris Taylor will draw the start at third base and bat fourth in the series finale with the Brewers.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Power production continues
Walls went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run Tuesday against the Orioles.
Walls took Grayson Rodriguez yard in the fifth inning to record his sixth home run of the season. He now has three long balls across his last seven starts, though he has only seven total hits in that span. Walls has enjoyed a regular role while appearing primarily at second and third base, and he's maintained a .265/.365/.542 line across 96 plate appearances for the season.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Ends RBI drought
McMahon went 1-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Pirates.
McMahon delivered a two-RBI triple in the seventh inning, extending the Rockies' lead to seven runs. Those were his first runs batted in across his last seven games, and he had just two hits across 23 at-bats in that span. McMahon has had a poor start to the season, as he's hitting only .203/.275/.383 across 142 plate appearances. Most concerningly, his strikeout rate has ballooned to 34.5 percent.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria: Goes deep in three-hit effort
Longoria went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Marlins.
Longoria came up a triple shy of the cycle, but he hasn't hit a three-bagger since 2020, so he was never much of a threat for the feat. The homer was Longoria's second in his last six games and his fourth of the season. The 37-year-old raised his slash line to .229/.276/.443 with seven RBI, 10 runs scored and three doubles through 76 plate appearances this season. He continues to be a short-side platoon option at third base and designated hitter.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Salvages day with late homer
Machado went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 6-1 victory over the Twins.
Machado gave the Padres some extra insurance by swatting a three-run homer in the top of the ninth that plated Austin Nola and Jake Cronenworth to extend the lead to five runs. The 30-year-old was quiet outside of the three-run knock, striking out twice and hitting a single to right. Through 34 games, Machado is slashing .257/.306/.412 with five home runs and 17 RBI. After a slow start to the campaign, Machado has bounced back nicely, batting .368 with four home runs, 10 RBI and 10 runs scored in his last nine appearances.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Marlins' Jean Segura: Out of lineup amid slump
Segura is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Segura went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts before getting ejected from Monday's series opener versus Arizona. He's batting just .186/.233/.212 through 33 games (121 plate appearances) this season with Miami. Jon Berti will handle third base and bat ninth Tuesday.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Good chance to return over weekend
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol told reporters before Tuesday's game against the Royals that there's a good chance Moncada (back) returns over the weekend series against the Astros, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Grifol seemed to rule out Moncada returning for the series against the Royals, but it seems likely the infielder will be back in the lineup by the end of the weekend. Moncada has been out since the middle of April with his back injury, and he should resume everyday duties once healthy.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Back in lineup Tuesday
Arenado (neck) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Cubs, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Arenado was a late scratch from Monday's series opener at Wrigley Field due to neck stiffness, but he is good to go for the second game of the three-game set. He's starting at third base and batting cleanup versus right-hander Jameson Taillon.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Twins' Kyle Farmer: Activation imminent
Farmer (mouth) will go through pregame workouts with the Twins on Tuesday but will not be activated prior to their game against the Padres, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
His activation is imminent, however, with manager Rocco Baldelli saying it "could be tomorrow, could be the next day, could be the day after that." Farmer had another scheduled dental procedure Monday as he continues to work his way back from being hit in the face with a pitch last month.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Diamondbacks' Emmanuel Rivera: Batting second Tuesday
Rivera is serving as the designated hitter and batting second Tuesday versus the Marlins.
Rivera has quickly taken on a prominent role in the Diamondbacks' offense, and rightly so. The 26-year-old is slashing .406/.424/.594 through 10 games (33 plate appearances) since his promotion from Triple-A Reno on April 25.
