Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Angels' Eduardo Escobar: Draws seventh straight start
Escobar will start at third base and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Mariners.
Escobar is without a direct path to an everyday role at any one spot in the infield, but he'll pick up his seventh consecutive start Wednesday, with six coming at third base. Even if Mike Moustakas' wrist injury doesn't cost him any further playing time, Escobar should still play regularly over the lefty-hitting Moustakas when the Angels face right-handed pitchers. Escobar hasn't done much to take advantage of the recent uptick in playing time, going 3-for-21 with one run and no RBI over his past six starts.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Returns to lineup
Marte (nose) is starting at shortstop and batting seventh Wednesday versus the Tigers in his return to the lineup.
Marte scored as a pinch runner in Tuesday's win over the Tigers, but this will be his first start since he suffered a broken nose pregame Saturday. He's filling in at shortstop for Elly De La Cruz, who is getting a day off.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Angels' Mike Moustakas: Not in Wednesday's lineup
Moustakas (wrist) is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Seattle, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Moustakas had to leave Tuesday's game versus the Mariners due to left wrist soreness, so it's no surprise he's sitting out Wednesday's afternoon affair, especially with an off day looming Thursday. Eduardo Escobar is at third base in the series finale.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Undergoing shoulder surgery
Miranda will undergo surgery on his injured right shoulder Thursday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Miranda is having a consultation Wednesday before undergoing the procedure Thursday. More information regarding the exact nature of the operation and a potential rehab timetable is expected after the surgery, but at the very least it's going to end his 2023 campaign. Miranda has been sidelined since mid-July with a right shoulder impingement.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Three hits, steal in win
Garcia went 3-for-5 with an RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Tuesday's victory over the White Sox.
It was an encouraging effort from Garcia after he'd gone 0-for-17 in his previous five games. The 23-year-old third baseman is up to 21 steals on the year while slashing a respectable .276/.324/.371 with four homers, 51 runs scored and 49 RBI as he continues to see a consistent starting role in Kansas City.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Steals 10th bag
Hayes went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, an intentional walk and one RBI in Tuesday's victory over the Nationals.
Hayes singled twice, stole a base, drew an intentional walk and contributed a sacrifice fly to extend Pittsburgh's lead to 5-1 in the seventh inning. In 35 games since returning from a back injury Aug. 2, the 26-year-old has slashed .298/.344/.553 with eight doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 24 RBI and 20 runs. However, the theft was just Hayes' 10th this season and first since July 6 after last year's 20-steal campaign.

Rafael Devers 3B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Joins elite company
Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 3-2 loss to the Yankees in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader. He did not start the nightcap but walked as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning of a 4-1 loss.
Devers led off the fourth inning with his 30th home run and snapped a 19-game drought without going deep. With the homer, Devers entered an elite club in franchise history with three 30-homer seasons before the age of 27. He joined Hall of Famers Jim Rice and Ted Williams in that achievement.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Scores as pinch runner
Marte (nose) entered Tuesday's game as a pinch runner and scored a run in a 6-5 win over the Tigers.
Marte made his first appearance since sustaining a broken nose during pre-game warmups Saturday. He replaced Nick Martini as the automatic runner in the top of the 10th inning, scored the eventual game-winning run, then played third base in the bottom of the frame. It's unclear if the Reds are confident enough to have Marte play an entire game, but he looks like he's trending in that direction.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Homers in Tuesday's win
Suarez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI, one walk and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 8-0 win over the Angels.
Suarez reached the 20-homer mark for the seventh time in his career with his fifth-inning blast that capped the scoring. He also opened the Mariners' onslaught with an RBI single in the first. The third baseman has three multi-hit efforts over his last seven games. For the season, he's slashing .234/.326/.391 with 87 RBI, 61 runs scored, two stolen bases and 24 doubles through 145 contests.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Angels' Mike Moustakas: Exits with wrist soreness
Moustakas was removed from Tuesday's game against Seattle due to left wrist soreness.
The Angels didn't provide details on how long Moustakas might be out for, but he will nonetheless join a long list of Angels that are currently battling some sort of injury. Fantasy managers should consider Moustakas day-to-day going forward.
