Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Hits homer in Triple-A opener
Miranda went 2-for-4 with a home run in Saturday's season-opening win for Triple-A St. Paul. He started at first base.
There's been conflicting reports about whether Miranda is at full strength to be able to throw from third base after offseason surgery to remove scar tissue from his right labrum and rotator cuff. He's set to play first base for St. Paul initially this season. As a result, he's not seen as a short-term option to help fill the void at third base with the Twins after the quad injury to Royce Lewis. Miranda could help force the issue if he continues his hot start to the season.

Eguy Rosario 3B | SD
Padres' Eguy Rosario: Goes deep in loss
Rosario went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Saturday's loss to the Giants.
Rosario began the game on the bench before entering as a pinch hitter for Tyler Wade in the third inning. He struck out in that at-bat but came to the plate again in the ninth frame and swatted a two-run shot to left field. Rosario has an intriguing fantasy profile as an above-average base stealer with some power, but it's unclear if he'll get enough playing time this season to make an impact outside of dynasty formats.

Graham Pauley 3B | MIA
Padres' Graham Pauley: Belts first big-league homer
Pauley went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Saturday's loss to San Francisco.
Pauley opened the game on the bench but entered as a pinch hitter for Fernando Tatis in the eighth inning with San Diego down eight runs. The rookie grounded out in his initial at-bat but got another chance in the following frame and produced a three-run shot to right field for his first long ball as a major-leaguer. Pauley batted .308 and went deep 23 times in the minors last season after being a 13th-round draft pick in 2022, and it will be interesting to see what he can do at the big-league level this year if he can get enough playing time.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Swats homer in loss
Suarez went 2-for-3 with a walk and solo home run in Saturday's 9-4 loss to Colorado.
Suarez is off the a nice start for his new team, hitting safely in all three games thus far and going 6-for-11 with four RBI and three runs scored. Third base was an unsettled position for the Diamondbacks in 2023, which is why the organization moved to solidify the hot corner during the offseason when it signed Suarez. The 32-year-old has remained productive and durable into his thirties. Suarez played in all 162 games (22 HR, 96 RBI) in 2023 and in 150 games (31, 87) the previous season.

Gunnar Henderson 3B | BAL
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Homers, triples in win
Henderson went 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run, three RBI and two runs in Saturday's 13-4 win over the Angels.
The 22-year-old has opened the campaign as Baltimore's leadoff man, and he popped a solo homer on Griffin Canning's sixth pitch of the game Saturday. Henderson is 4-for-8 with a walk, three RBI and three runs through the first two games of the season, and he should continue to be a strong producer across the board for fantasy managers atop a potent Orioles lineup.

Zack Gelof 2B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Productive day in loss
Gelof went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in a loss to the Guardians on Saturday.
The Athletics lost for the third time in as many games to open the new campaign, but Gelof broke out of a season-opening 0-for-7 skid with his multi-hit effort. The 24-year-old more than held his own over his first 300 plate appearances against major-league arms last season, and his power-speed combination, combined with what he gleaned from that experience, could well lead to a full breakout 2024.

Trey Lipscomb 3B | WAS
Nationals' Trey Lipscomb: Swipes bag in MLB debut
Lipscomb went 1-for-4 with a single and stolen base in a win over the Reds on Saturday.
Batting ninth in his big-league debut, Lipscomb notched his first career hit in the third inning against Hunter Greene and promptly stole second base. Lipscomb also made a number of impressive plays defensively at third base. It appears he could get regular run at the hot corner in the absence of Nick Senzel (thumb), with Ildemaro Vargas better suited for a utility role.

Rafael Devers 3B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Hopeful of Sunday return
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Saturday that Devers (shoulder) is feeling better, and the skipper is optimistic the third baseman will return to the lineup Sunday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
Devers is sitting out a second straight game Saturday with left shoulder soreness, but he was able to take some swings in the batting cage pregame and is trending in the right direction. Pablo Reyes is filling in at third base for Devers in Saturday's contest versus the Mariners.

Rafael Devers 3B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Remains sidelined Saturday
Devers (shoulder) isn't in the Red Sox's lineup Saturday against the Mariners, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
Left shoulder soreness caused Devers to be scratched from the lineup ahead of Friday's contest, and the issue is apparently severe enough to keep him from playing again Saturday. Pablo Reyes will start at third base and bat eighth while Devers recovers.
