  • Eguy Rosario 3B | SD

Padres' Eguy Rosario: Drawing start at third base

Rosario will start at third base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Tyler Wade and Graham Pauley have been drawing starts against right-handers, but with the Cards throwing southpaw Zack Thompson on Wednesday, the right-handed-hitting Rosario gets the nod. He is 2-for-10 with a double and a home run in the early going this season.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Timetable now 8-to-10 weeks

Rangers general manager Chris Young said Wednesday that Jung will likely be sidelined 8-to-10 weeks after more extensive damage than expected was found during surgery Tuesday to repair his fractured right wrist, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Jung's initial timetable was estimated at six weeks following X-rays on the wrist, but unfortunately, he'll require more recovery time following a procedure that was more invasive than anticipated. The third baseman likely won't return until late May now in a best-case scenario and will be a candidate to move to the 60-day injured list at some point down the road. Josh Smith and Ezequiel Duran have both received a start at third base since Jung went down with the injury, and Justin Foscue is also an option at the hot corner.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Sitting out Wednesday

Rendon is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Miami, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Rendon batted leadoff in each of the first five games this season but is still looking for his first hit. Luis Rengifo will take his spot both at the top of the batting order and at third base.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Diamondbacks' Jace Peterson: Logs first plate appearance

Peterson entered Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Yankees as a pinch hitter and walked.

It was the second overall appearance for Peterson and his first time at the plate this season. He pinch hit for rookie Blaze Alexander, who started at DH, in the eighth inning and finished the game at second base. Peterson's versatility will keep him around, and he could provide value in the steals category, but he'd need regular opportunities to do that.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Swats three-run blast in win

Paredes went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.

Paredes tallied his second home run of the season with a three-run blast off Yerry Rodriguez in the fifth inning to put the Rays up 5-0. After going hitless through his first two games, Paredes now has three hits over his last 10 at-bats and has managed to reach base with a walk and a hit-by-pitch as well.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Drives in three during win

Garcia went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, walk and three RBI en route to a 4-1 victory over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Garcia hit a two-run double in the second inning to put Kansas City ahead 3-0, and he later added some insurance in the fourth with an RBI triple. The hard-hitting 24-year-old has offered plenty of production as the Royals' leadoff man to begin the season, and hitting in front of Bobby Witt only increases Garcia's fantasy value.

  • Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA

Cubs' Nick Madrigal: Strong performance in win

Madrigal went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Tuesday's 12-2 win over the Rockies. He also stole a base.

Madrigal batted eighth but got in on the fun as the whole Chicago lineup rolled. The 27-year-old started at third base in this one, though he's still behind Christopher Morel on the depth chart and is serving more as a utility player at this point. Madrigal will need more regular playing time to really take off as a fantasy asset this season.

  • Michael Busch 3B | CHC

Cubs' Michael Busch: Takes seat Tuesday

Busch is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Busch is 2-for-13 with three walks and a run through the first four games of the season, and he'll head to the bench for Tuesday's contest. Garrett Cooper will receive a start at first base, batting seventh.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Out six weeks after wrist surgery

Rangers general manager Chris Young said that Jung will be sidelined for six weeks after having surgery Tuesday to repair his fractured right wrist, Stefan Stevenson of SI FanNation reports.

Jung suffered the injury on a hit-by-pitch Monday and the surgery was performed by the same doctor who repaired his fractured thumb last August. Josh Smith received the first start at third base in Jung's place Tuesday, but Ezequiel Duran and Justin Foscue will also be in the mix at the hot corner.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Out of Tuesday's lineup

Urias is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Urias will take a seat Tuesday for the second time in Baltimore's first five games of the season. Jordan Westburg will receive another look at third base while Tony Kemp starts at the keystone.
