    Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Makes franchise history Tuesday

    Ramirez 3-for-4 with a double and two solo home runs in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.

    His second long ball of the night was a game-winner, as he took Calvin Faucher deep in the eighth inning to snap a 3-3 tie. It was Ramirez's second multi-homer performance of the season and the 27th of his career, moving him into first place on Cleveland's all-time list ahead of Jim Thome and Albert Belle. Ramirez broke out of a 2-for-25 slump with the effort, but he's been mostly locked in since the All-Star break, slashing .289/.385/.611 over his last 23 contests with seven homers, four steals, 13 RBI and 22 runs.

    Brewers' Caleb Durbin: Hits late home run

    Durbin went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.

    Durbin joined in on the home-run party in the ninth inning, becoming the fifth Brewer to leave the yard with a two-run blast. It was just the second hit for Durbin over his last eight games, though he's only struck out once in 22 at-bats over that span.

    White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Two walks in return

    Vargas went 0-for-3 with two walks and a run scored Tuesday against the Tigers.

    Vargas returned from the injured list Tuesday after a minimum stint. He hit sixth in the lineup and played first base while scoring in the eighth inning on an RBI single from Edgar Quero. Vargas figures to be a regular in the lineup moving forward.

    Red Sox's Alex Bregman: Homers again

    Bregman went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 14-1 win over Houston.

    Bregman has homered in back-to-back games against his former team, with Tuesday's long ball coming at the expense of Shawn Dubin. Bregman's now up to 16 home runs on the year. In his last eight games, Bregman is 11-for-28 (.393) with eight runs scored, six RBI and a 7:3 BB:K.

  • Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander: Homers again

    Alexander went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

    Alexander belted his fourth home run in nine games, and his second in as many nights, by taking Jack Leiter yard in the third inning. He hadn't hit a round tripper in 2025 before the start of this nine-game stretch. The 26-year-old has been outstanding since taking Eugenio Suarez's spot at third base, and he's 14-for-38 (.368) in August with nine RBI and seven runs scored.

    Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Goes deep in third straight game

    Clement went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Cubs.

    Clement is embarking on quite the power surge, having now gone deep in three straight games and four of his last five. The 29-year-old infielder is pushing to maintain steady playing time in Toronto's infield now that Andres Gimenez has returned from the injured list. Across his last 13 outings, Clement is hitting a torrid .357 with eight extra-base hits and eight RBI covering 56 at-bats.

    Twins' Brooks Lee: Not in Tuesday's lineup

    Lee is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

    Lee started the previous 11 games but will receive a day off after batting .150 (6-for-40) during that stretch. Ryan Fitzgerald will take over at shortstop Tuesday for Minnesota.

    White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Back from injured list

    The White Sox reinstated Vargas (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

    The 25-year-old landed on the injured list in early August due to an oblique strain, and he'll rejoin the big-league club after missing just the 10-day minimum. Prior to the injury, Vargas came out of the All-Star break hot with an .874 OPS in 13 games.

    Reds' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Out of lineup Tuesday

    Hayes is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.

    Hayes is slumping at the dish, slashing .136/.174/.182 with one double, one run scored and one walk across 23 trips to the plate over the last seven days. Santiago Espinal will start at third base and bat ninth against left-hander Ranger Suarez on Tuesday.

    Mets' Mark Vientos: Remains on bench Tuesday

    Vientos remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.

    Vientos hasn't started three of the Mets' past four contests and appears to be falling into a reserve role, as Brett Baty is starting at third and batting ninth Tuesday while Starling Marte handles DH duties in the sixth spot in the order. Vientos has a .191/.269/.191 slash line across 11 at-bats over the last seven days.
