Tyler Wade SS | TEX
Padres' Tyler Wade: Back on bench after rare start
Wade is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Wade will head back to the bench for the Padres' final game before the All-Star break after he picked up his first start since July 4 in Saturday's 4-0 win. While filling in at shortstop for a resting Ha-Seong Kim, Wade went 1-for-2 with a run scored and his seventh stolen base of the season. Wade's playing time will likely remain light moving forward, with most of his opportunities coming as a late-inning defensive replacement or pinch runner.

Zack Short 3B | DET
Braves' Zack Short: Seeing little playing time
Short is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
Short picked up three consecutive starts at shortstop to begin July, but he hasn't returned to the lineup since with Orlando Arcia returning to action July 5 and avoiding a stint on the injured list due to an abscessed tooth. Expect Short's starting opportunities to be few and far between while Atlanta is at full strength in the infield.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Getting rest Sunday
Rendon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.
For the first time since he returned Monday following a 68-game stay on the injured list due to a strained hamstring, Rendon will hit the bench. Rendon served as the Angels' leadoff man each of the last six games while making three starts apiece at designated hitter and third base, going 4-for-23 with two doubles, three walks, two runs and one RBI.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Officially lands on IL
The Twins placed Miranda on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a low back strain.
Miranda hadn't played since Wednesday due to the injury and will hit the shelf in advance of the Twins' final game before the All-Star break Sunday in San Francisco. Because the transaction is retroactive to Thursday, Miranda will be eligible to come off the IL as soon as next Sunday, when the Twins will play their second game coming out of the break. Until Miranda is back in the mix, the Twins should have a regular spot in the lineup against right-handed pitching available for Matt Wallner.

Andruw Monasterio 3B | BOS
Brewers' Andruw Monasterio: Losing work with Ortiz back
Monasterio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Monasterio had seen a surge in playing time in late June, but his starts will likely be more sparse moving forward after Joey Ortiz was reinstated from the injured list Friday. With Ortiz taking back everyday duties at third base, Monasterio will fill a utility role moving forward and will likely draw most of his starts against left-handed pitching.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Hitting bench Sunday
Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
After starting in six of the Royals' last seven contests, Garcia will get a breather Sunday in the club's final game before the All-Star break. Utility man Adam Frazier will enter the lineup in Garcia's stead, occupying third base and batting leadoff.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Heading to bench Sunday
Marte is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.
Since he completed his 80-game suspension and rejoined the Reds on June 27, Marte had started in each of the club's ensuing 16 games, slashing .177/.212/.258 with a home run and two stolen bases over 66 plate appearances. He'll get a breather for the Reds' final game before the All-Star break, but despite his lackluster production since his reinstatement to the roster, Marte should be locked into an everyday role heading into the second half. Santiago Espinal will spell Marte at third base Sunday.

Brett Harris 3B | ATH
Athletics' Brett Harris: Multiple hits in loss
Harris went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a loss to the Phillies on Saturday.
Harris entered the night in a 1-for-14 skid that had encompassed his previous four games, but he snapped out of it with only the third multi-hit effort of his nascent 28-game big-league career. The rookie has continued to see everyday playing time, mostly at third base, despite his struggles, although he's yet to hit higher than eighth to this point.

Oswaldo Cabrera LF | NYY
Yankees' Oswaldo Cabrera: Getting start to close out first half
Cabrera will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Cabrera will get his first start of the series while DJ LeMahieu hits the bench as the Yankees and Orioles wrap up their first-half schedules. Though LeMahieu has posted a lowly .498 OPS on the season, the Yankees may prefer to explore the trade market rather than turning primary duties at third base back over to Cabrera if the club decides to remove LeMahieu from an everyday role. Cabrera hasn't fared much better in his 230 plate appearances in the majors this season, slashing .237/.284/.341 with five home runs and two stolen bases.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Tigers' Gio Urshela: Hits key home run off bench
Urshela went 1-for-1 with a game-winning, two-run home run in Saturday's 11-9, 10-inning win over the Dodgers.
Urshela started the day on the bench, but he ended up capping off a wild comeback win for the Tigers with a walk-off shot, his fourth home run of the season. The veteran has been heating up lately, as he's batting .351 over his last 10 games with two long balls and eight RBI. He should be a solid if not spectacular fantasy option moving forward.
