Gelof went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base in Friday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Orioles.

Gelof has gone 6-for-41 (.146) over his last 11 games. The utility man is up to 10 steals on the season, including two in that 11-game sample. He's added a .258 average, .775 OPS, 14 home runs, 38 RBI, 53 runs scored, 13 doubles and one triple over 84 contests this year. Gelof is primarily working at third base with some other starts coming in left field or at second base.

Mayo went 2-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Athletics.

Mayo has gone 10-for-36 (.278) with three homers and seven RBI over his last 10 games. The infielder continues to get steady playing time between designated hitter and the infield corners, though he's not quite an everyday player given the crowded competition in those spots. For the year, he's batting .216 with a .721 OPS, 18 homers, 52 RBI, 49 runs scored, 13 doubles, three triples and three stolen bases over 107 contests.

Okamoto went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI during the Blue Jays' 8-1 win over the Mariners on Friday.

Okamoto contributed to the Blue Jays' three-run first inning with a sacrifice fly that brought Vladimir Guerrero home. Okamoto kept his night going with a solo homer in the sixth -- his 27th home run of the season -- while adding an RBI single in the seventh. It was the eighth time this season that he drove in at least three runs in a game, and his 77 RBI is 10th-most in the American League this season.

Arenado (thumb) will start at third base and bat fifth Friday against the Giants.

Arenado was left off the first version of Friday's lineup, but he is now seemingly unbothered by the thumb inflammation that caused him to sit out Thursday, so he'll check back into the starting nine. The veteran third baseman has been in a bit of a slump recently, going 5-for-27 (.185) with eight strikeouts across his last seven games.

Arenado (thumb) isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

Arenado was a late scratch Thursday due to thumb inflammation, and he'll need at least one more day off to recover. Jose Fernandez will pick up another start at third base and bat sixth.

The Orioles reinstated Alexander (hand) from the injured list Friday.

Out since mid-July with a fractured left hand, Alexander began a rehab assignment Tuesday and went 2-for-7 with a double, an RBI and a run scored at Triple-A Norfolk. He figures to reclaim a regular starting job in Baltimore's infield now that he's fully healthy, and he'll replace Luis Vazquez on the team's active roster.

Cardinals manager Oli Marmol said Friday that Jordan is expected to miss "several weeks" due to a left ankle sprain, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Marmol stopped short of saying that Jordan would miss the rest of the year, but it looks like the 23-year-old third baseman will be shelved until at least the final week or so of the regular season. Nolan Gorman and Thomas Saggese should both see some reps at the hot corner for as long as Jordan is on the IL.

Donovan (concussion) traveled with the Mariners to Toronto as his team begins a road trip, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Donovan reported improvement with his concussion symptoms earlier this week, and him being cleared to travel with the club is a good sign. However, manager Dan Wilson said that the 29-year-old won't be ready to return when eligible Saturday, per Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times. He's been limited to 39 games this season due to injuries, but he's been fairly productive when on the field with a .277/.371/.409 slash line.

St. Louis placed Jordan on the 10-day injured list with a left ankle sprain Friday.

Jordan was removed early from Thursday's series finale against the Orioles with what is now deemed a left ankle sprain that will force him to sit out at least 10 days. The 23-year-old has slashed .247/.276/.382 with three homers and 28 RBI over 199 plate appearances this season. St. Louis recalled Thomas Saggese to replace Jordan on the 26-man roster.

Riley is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rockies.

Riley will take a rare day off as Atlanta kicks off its series with the Rockies. Mauricio Dubon moves over to third base and bats sixth.
