Suarez went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk against the Pirates on Wednesday.

His first-inning bomb against Jameson Taillon turned out to be all the offense the Reds would need. Last season was a roller coaster, but this year has seen Suarez leap out to a monstrous start, as his .322/.408/.611 line is elite. Suarez has cut down his strikeouts noticeably and raised his walk rate considerably, and while some BABIP regression will surely lower his average, it still looks like he's turning into a legitimate cross-category contributor.

Senzel went 2-for-4 with a double Tuesday for High-A Daytona, Zach Buchanan from the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Senzel, the Reds' first-round draft pick in 2016, is hitting .288/.345/.413 with Daytona, and is 4-for-4 on the basepaths. The Reds haven't disclosed their plans as to when they'll promote Senzel to Double-A.

Longoria (foot) will be the designated hitter and hit third Wednesday against the Marlins, the Tampa Bay Times' Roger Mooney reports.

He missed a couple games with a sore foot, and while he might not be quite ready to return to the field, he will return to the lineup as the DH against lefty Adam Conley. Longoria has gotten his strikeout issues in check, but is still slashing just .208/.296/.376 with four home runs in 115 plate appearances.

Valencia went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Angels.

The 384-foot shot to left that Valencia launched in the sixth snapped a 2-2 tie and represented one of the few bright spots on the season for the veteran. It was only the 32-year-old's second homer, with the first having just come on April 25. Valencia is showing some signs of life recently, hitting .333 (5-for-15) with a double, the aforementioned pair of round trippers, two RBI, two walks and four runs over his last four games. He may primarily have been a victim of some bad breaks thus far, as his unsightly .182/.256/.338 line is accompanied by an atypically low .214 BABIP without any corresponding increase in strikeout rate.

Duffy (heel) ran the bases Monday and will do so again Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Monday marked Duffy's first time running the bases since he underwent heel surgery last fall, and he reported feeling good the following day. The Rays figure to remain cautious throughout Duffy's rehab and they may be hesitant to offer up a timetable, but Duffy thinks he could begin a rehab assignment next week and return to the major-league club by late May. He is expected to play shortstop upon activation.

Longoria (foot) is expected to return to the lineup Wednesday against the Marlins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

It was reported that Longoria's foot was feeling better Tuesday, so it's likely that the Rays are just erring on the side of caution with the veteran third baseman. However, if it turns out that Longoria has to miss a bit more time, Daniel Robertson is the likely option to start at third base.

Moustakas is out of the lineup Tuesday against the White Sox, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Moustakas will have the night off as the Royals are starting Cheslor Cuthbert at third base. Moustakas should return to action Wednesday when Kansas City takes on Chicago.

Longoria (foot) is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Marlins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Previous reports stated that Longoria had hoped to return to action Tuesday, but the Rays will hold him out of the lineup for an additional day. At this point in time, there's yet to be any indication that Longoria is dealing with a significant injury so he should still be considered day-to-day. With Longoria sitting out Tuesday, Daniel Robertson will start at the hot corner.

General manager Mark Shapiro is hopeful Donaldson (calf) will be ready to return during the team's nine-game homestand that begins on Monday, Sportsnet reports.

Donaldson has been ramping up his activity at the Jays' training facility in Dunedin, but Shapiro's comments are the first indication of a possible return date. The third baseman managed a .310/.429/.586 slash line over nine games before hitting the DL in mid April. Darwin Barney and Chris Coghlan stand to lose time, or possibly be sent to the minors, once Donaldson returns.

Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs in Monday's victory in Boston.

Machado's sixth-inning blast off last year's AL Cy Young winner, Rick Porcello, was the third baseman's fifth long ball of the season. His big night also bumped Machado into second on the team for RBI (15) and runs (12). After a slow start, the All-Star has warmed up, slashing .304/.467/.652 over his last six games.
