Madrigal advanced to High-A Winston-Salem on Thursday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Madrigal excelled at Low-A Kannapolis, hitting .341 with three-extra base hits and six RBI through 12 games. He'll look to continue his early success in the minor leagues at the next level.

Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins said that Donaldson (calf) is making rapid progress in his recovery over the past week and attracted interest from teams prior to Tuesday's non-waiver trade deadline, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Specifically, Atkins mentioned that the three-time All-Star is beginning to generate more power from his lower half, which Donaldson had lacked prior to both of his stints on the disabled list this season. Donaldson is continuing to rehab at the Blue Jays' spring training facility in Dunedin, and should soon be ready for simulated-game action. After that, Donaldson would begin a minor-league rehab assignment, at which point Toronto would be able to place the 32-year-old on waivers. Though he's still owed more than $7 million for the final two months of the season, it's possible that teams may be willing to put a claim in on Donaldson in recognition of the upgrade he might provide at third base if he has truly recovered from the calf injury. If Donaldson goes unclaimed, the Blue Jays would then be able to engage in trade talks and try to get something back in return for him before he hits free agency over the winter.

Duffy went 2-for-5 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Angels on Wednesday.

Duffy started August off the way he closed out July, generating a second straight multi-hit effort and driving in a run for a third consecutive game. The infielder has hit safely in four straight overall and sports a .306/.356/.491 line for the season.

LeMahieu (oblique) was reinstated from the 10-day DL and will man second base and bat second during Thursday's contest against St. Louis, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

LeMahieu spent the past two weeks on the disabled list after suffering a strained oblique in the first game back from the All-Star break. He was able to face live pitching Wednesday and should return to his role as the club's everyday second baseman moving forward. In a corresponding move, Garrett Hampson was sent back down to Triple-A.

Moncada went 2-for-3 with a home run and two walks in Wednesday's loss to the Royals.

Moncada led off the home half of the first with a home run on the very first pitch, then later reached base three more times while striking out once. He was also caught stealing. The 23-year-old has smacked 14 homers and 44 RBI in his first full season in the majors, but he's also sporting a middling .229/.311/.411 slash line.

Rendon went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in the 5-3 victory over the Mets.

Rendon extended Washington's lead to three in the third inning after sending a ball over the left-field fence. He's collected a base knock in nine of his last 10 games, going 13-for-42 with three extra-base hits and nine RBI over that stretch. Rendon sits with a .288 average and 53 RBI over 82 games in 2018.

LeMahieu (oblique) faced live pitching Wednesday, and he expects to be in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against St. Louis, Nick Groke of The Athletic Denver reports.

LeMahieu landed on the 10-day disabled list July 21 with an oblique strain, but after hitting without issue Wednesday, he's set to be activated and resume his role as the everyday second baseman. Through 72 games in 2018, he's slashing .278/.324/.430 with eight homers, 34 RBI and five stolen bases.

Duffy went 3-for-5 with an RBI infield single in a win over the Angels on Tuesday.

Duffy continues to keep his average over .300 -- he hasn't been below that mark since May 9. The 27-year-old isn't doing it with much pop (21 extra-base hits in 374 plate appearances), but he's clearly served as one of the Rays' most consistent hitters throughout the campaign. Unsurprisingly, his current .356 on-base percentage qualifies as a career best, while his strikeout rate remains down at 15.7 percent.

Bregman went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and a strikeout in Tuesday's win over the Mariners.

The three-hit day gave Bregman an even .300 average over the month of July. The 24-year-old continues to take steps forward in his second full season, slashing .282/.384/.532 with 22 home runs, and he's already matched his RBI output from all of last year with 71.

Segura went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Astros.

Segura opened the scoring in the fourth inning with his eighth home run of the season, then made it a multi-hit day with an infield single in the sixth. The 28-year-old has just one stolen base since June 8, but he continues to be a strong source of average and runs scored, ranking in the top 10 in the American League in both categories.
