Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Twins.

Ramirez slashed an RBI-double -- his 28th two-bagger of the year -- in the third and later squared up an RBI single in the fifth. Ramirez is hitting .298 on the season and is one of just four MLB players with an OPS over 1.000. The 25-year-old is tied for the MLB lead in homers (32) while coming up sixth in RBI (78) and second in stolen bases (25). Ramirez continues to make his MVP case with his stellar season.

Rendon was 3-for-6 with two runs scored, four RBI and a double in Tuesday's 25-4 win over the Mets.

Rendon returned from the family medical leave list with a bang Tuesday as the Nationals erupted for 25 runs. The 28-year-old has a .288/.351/.517 slash line with 15 home runs on the season.

Reynolds was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

He hasn't done much in 240 career plate appearances in the majors (.223/.295/.340), but has been slightly better at Triple-A this year, slashing .259/.355/.410 with two home runs in 245 plate appearances. Reynolds will continue to serve as organizational infield depth.

Plouffe was designated for assignment by the Phillies on Tuesday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.

Plouffe was with the Phillies for three weeks but made just a single start. He was the 16th-inning walkoff hero against the Dodgers on July 24, but someone had to go in order to make room on the roster for deadline-day acquisition Aaron Loup. Plouffe's .242/.304/.410 career line and ability to play multiple positions could be enough for another team to claim him off waivers and use him as a bench piece.

Rendon was activated from the family medical leave list and is starting Tuesday against the Mets.

Rendon missed four games while on the paternity list and family medical leave list. He'll bat second and play third base against the Mets.

Valencia is out of the lineup against the Yankees on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Valencia will take a seat for the second straight game as Renato Nunez draws another start at third base for the series finale. Over the month of July, Valencia has hit .241/.262/.310 with five RBI and 15 strikeouts in 17 games.

Anderson went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Braves.

The 25-year-old is only hitting .258 (24-for-93) in July, but he has hit four of his nine homers on the year during the month. Anderson's ultimate fantasy upside still appears to be limited, but as long as he's holding down a starting spot for the Marlins, he'll have modest value in deeper formats.

Escobar went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the Diamondbacks' 9-5 loss to the Rangers on Monday.

The Diamondbacks' acquisition of Escobar has already started to pay dividends with the infielder turning in a pair of two-hit performances in his two starts with his new club. Escobar, who served as Arizona's No. 2 hitter Monday, should be locked into a full-time role at third base in addition to a prominent lineup spot while Jake Lamb (shoulder) remains on the disabled list.

Machado went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks and a solo home run in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Brewers.

Machado's second homer as a Dodger was the lone bright spot in an otherwise forgettable game for the club. The 26-year-old hasn't skipped a beat since moving west over the All-Star break, slashing .304/.418/.500 with two homers in 11 games following the blockbuster trade.

Arenado went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Monday's loss to St. Louis.

Arenado handed the Rockies a four-run lead in the fifth inning after slugging a grand slam, but Colorado's bullpen would cough up the lead in the seventh. The 27-year-old third baseman has homered in three of his last four games, going 5-for-14 with six RBI over that stretch.
