Donaldson (calf) was moved to the 60-day disabled list Monday, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

With no concrete timetable for a return, Donaldson will be placed on the 60-day disabled list to make room on the 40-man roster for Ken Giles and David Paulino. Donaldson figures to require quite a few minor-league rehab appearances when healthy before returning to the big leagues.

Asuaje is not in the lineup against the Giants on Monday.

Asuaje will take a seat with left-hander Derek Holland on the mound for San Francisco. In his absence, Jose Pirela will man second base and bat sixth.

Chapman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday.

Chapman's 410-foot shot to left off German Marquez in the fourth opened the scoring for the Athletics and served as his second homer of the series. All three of the 25-year-old's July round trippers have come within the last seven games, a span during which he's also knocked in six of his nine runs for the month. Chapman has also boosted his season average 25 points to .272 since July 3, which marks its highest point since April 28.

McMahon went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and one RBI in Sunday's 3-2 win over Oakland.

It was McMahon's first MLB appearance since June 20, and his first multi-hit outing since May 26. The 23-year-old rookie is still batting just .222 with 10 RBI in 99 at-bats during the 2018 season. McMahon also doesn't have a secured spot in the everyday lineup, and he won't have much fantasy value unless injuries give him more playing time.

Devers (hamstring) said Sunday that he thinks he'll be ready to return from the 10-day disabled list in the minimum amount of time, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic Boston reports.

At the same time, Devers acknowledged that he would defer to the Red Sox's training staff, which may prefer to give the third baseman additional time to heal up from the injury. While Devers is on the shelf, the Red Sox are expected to deploy a committee at the hot corner that includes Eduardo Nunez, Tzu-Wein Lin, Brock Holt and Blake Swihart.

Escobar is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres.

Escobar will receive a breather after impressing in his team debut Saturday with a 2-for-4, two-run showing at the plate in the Diamondbacks' 9-4 win. Chris Owings will handle duties at the hot corner in the series finale, but Escobar will likely serve as the team's everyday option at third base until Jake Lamb (shoulder) is ready to return from the 10-day disabled list.

Davis will start at third base and bat seventh Sunday against the Rangers.

Davis is making his third straight start and may have edged ahead of outfielder Kyle Tucker as the primary replacement in the lineup spot created by Carlos Correa's (back) extended absence. The Astros had another spot open up following Jose Altuve's (knee) placement on the DL on Sunday, so Davis seems in good position to earn steady opportunities over the next week.

McMahon has been called up from Triple-A Albuquerque and will start at first base Sunday against the Athletics, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

McMahon will step in at first base to relieve Ian Desmond, who hasn't had a true day off since June 17. The 23-year-old McMahon owns a .877 OPS at Albuquerque this season, but that hasn't translated to the majors, where he's slashing .211/.283/.337 across 106 plate appearances. He'll look to get back on track in the final months of the season, though it appears unlikely he has a path to consistent playing time.

Valencia is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

One of several Orioles players likely to be available as Tuesday's non-waiver trade deadline approaches, Valencia has boosted his stock with a 10-for-24 showing at the plate coming out of the All-Star break. He'll get a routine rest following three straight starts as Jace Peterson receives a turn at third base.

Candelario is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Indians.

Candelario has started the last 13 games, so Sunday is a well-deserved day off. The 24-year-old is batting just .228 after posting a .283 mark in 38 games last year, which is not a surprising development for a young player going through his first full MLB season.
