Jace Jung 2B | DET
Tigers' Jace Jung: Sitting Wednesday
Jung isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Colorado.
Jung will get an opportunity to regroup Wednesday after going 1-for-16 with five strikeouts over his last seven games. Zach McKinstry will shift to the hot corner to fill in for Jung, who could be on his way back to Triple-A Toledo if he doesn't rediscover his swing soon.

Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Promotion imminent
The Rangers are expected to recall Duran from Triple-A Round Rock ahead of Thursday's game against the Red Sox, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Texas has already placed Kevin Pillar (back) on the injured list in a corresponding move, but since Duran isn't scheduled to arrive in Boston prior to Wednesday's contest, the Rangers will wait until Thursday to make his promotion official. Duran will offer depth at all four infield spots and both corner-outfield spots and will likely see most of his starts against left-handed pitching. He had been on the fire at the plate since being optioned to Triple-A on April 20, slashing .346/.393/.673 with four home runs and five stolen bases over 13 games.

Tyler Wade CF | SD
Padres' Tyler Wade: Set to lose playing time
Wade is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Wade had started in 15 of the Padres' previous 17 games, with most of his playing time coming in center field. He'll be ticketed for a backup role in the outfield moving forward after the Padres welcomed Jackson Merrill back from the injured list Tuesday, and Wade's opportunities to play in the middle infield will also soon become limited with Jake Cronenworth (rib) on track to be activated this weekend.

Coby Mayo 3B | BAL
Orioles' Coby Mayo: Sitting out Wednesday
Mayo is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Minnesota.
Mayo started both of the previous two games, but he's now been in the Orioles' lineup in just half of the team's contests since being recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday. He looks like he'll have to split time at the hot corner with Emmanuel Rivera, who draws the nod Wednesday.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Royals' Jonathan India: Hitting bench Wednesday
India is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
India will receive a routine day off after he had started and batted out of the leadoff spot in each of the Royals' last 12 games. Drew Waters will cover left field for India on Wednesday, while third baseman Maikel Garcia will assume table-setting duties.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Lands on IL with oblique strain
The Reds placed Marte on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left oblique strain.
Marte was a late scratch from Tuesday's lineup and a day later has landed on the IL. He will be eligible for activation May 15, but oblique strains often result in longer-than-minimum stays on the IL. Santiago Espinal will likely receive the bulk of the playing time at third base for the Reds while Marte is sidelined.

Nolan Arenado 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Nursing back spasms
Arenado was scratched from Wednesday's lineup versus the Pirates due to back spasms, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Arenado was scratched just minutes before first pitch and replaced at third base by Nolan Gorman. He should be considered day-to-day for the time being, and Arenado will receive an additional day of rest with the Cardinals having a scheduled off day Thursday.

Miles Mastrobuoni 3B | SEA
Mariners' Miles Mastrobuoni: Moves back to bench role
Mastrobuoni is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
Mastrobuoni had started in the corner outfield in each of the last three games, but his opportunities to play in left or right field will likely become scarcer moving forward with Randy Arozarena moving past a hamstring injury and with the Mariners claiming Leody Taveras off waivers. The versatile Mastrobuoni could still fill in occasionally at second or third base, though Dylan Moore and Ben Williamson seem to be ahead of him in the pecking order for playing time at either of those spots.

Gio Urshela 3B | ATH
Athletics' Gio Urshela: Losing out to Andujar at 3B
Urshela is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.
Urshela will hit the bench for the third game in a row and appears to have ceded primary duties at third base to Miguel Andujar, who was displaced in the corner outfield as part of the domino effect of first baseman Nick Kurtz's promotion to the big leagues. Though Urshela brings better defense to the table, Andujar has been one of the team's top hitters this season with a .786 OPS -- more than 150 points ahead of Urshela's mark (.621). Playing time will likely become even more difficult to come by for Urshela once Zack Gelof (wrist) comes off the injured list, as Gelof's return will result in Luis Urias moving off second base and vying for reps at the hot corner.
