Arenado went 3-for-4 in Thursday's loss to the Marlins.

The star third baseman produced nearly all of St. Louis' offense against a standout Miami pitching effort, compiling three of his team's five singles after homering for his team's only runs Wednesday. It was the fourth multi-hit effort of the campaign for Arenado, who has gotten a hit in all but one of his 11 contests to start the season. He ranks second among qualified MLB hitters with a .405 average on the campaign.

Escobar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's win over the Giants.

Escobar took Anthony DeSclafani yard in the second inning to record his first homer as a Met. Despite not hitting any homers prior to Thursday, Escobar had shown plenty of power by recording seven doubles and one triple in his first 12 starts this season. Overall, he's hitting .318/.363/.591 to go along with seven runs scored and five RBI across 56 plate appearances.

Chapman went 3-for-4 with an RBI during Thursday's 3-2 win over the Red Sox.

Chapman hit a two-out double in his first plate appearance during the second inning but was left stranded. After grounding out to third in his second at-bat, Chapman came up with runners on first and second and recorded an RBI after a pop up over first base fell in for a single. The third baseman came on with a runner on again in the eighth, but Lourdes Gurriel was thrown out at third after Chapman hit a single to left field. Through 13 games, Chapman has eight RBI and and three multi-hit games to go along with two homers.

Groshans (groin) has joined Low-A Dunedin, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Groshans suffered an oblique strain late in camp and hasn't yet appeared in any minor-league games this year. He'll build up in Dunedin since the Blue Jays' extended spring training complex is located there, but he should head to Double-A New Hampshire or Triple-A Buffalo at some point.

Newman isn't starting Thursday's game against the Cubs.

Newman started in the last three games and went 2-for-11 with a run. Hoy Park will take over at shortstop and bat ninth Thursday.

Madrigal isn't starting Thursday's game against the Pirates.

Madrigal drew starts in the last four games and went 5-for-15 with a double, two runs and an RBI. Jonathan Villar will shift to second base while Patrick Wisdom starts at the hot corner.

Escobar went 2-for-3 with a walk and a double in Wednesday's loss to the Giants.

The veteran infielder is thriving in his first season as the Mets' starting third baseman, slashing .317/.462/.537 through 12 games with an 11:10 BB:K. Escobar's still looking for his first homer of the year, but eight of his 13 hits (seven doubles and a triple) have gone for extra bases, so it's only a matter of time before he goes yard.

Walls went 2-for-3 with a stolen base Wednesday against the Cubs.

Walls has earned starts in four of the last five games, and he has delivered multiple hits in the past two. After leading off the fourth inning with a base knock, he stole second base but was ultimately stranded. Wall has made multiple appearances at second and third base in addition shortstop early this season, and his ability to play across the infield could help him find significant playing time despite not having a regular spot in the lineup.

Donaldson is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers.

Donaldson sits for the second time this season. His Yankees career hasn't gotten off to a great start, as a three-game hitless streak has caused his slash line to fall to .174/.255/.283. Marwin Gonzalez will take over at third base.

Hayes went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Brewers.

Hayes delivered Pittsburgh's only offense of the game with a two-RBI single in the eighth inning. After a hot start to the campaign, Hayes has slowed a bit of late, collecting only five hits in his last 25 at-bats. Even so, he's provided production across the board with five runs scored, four RBI and two stolen bases across 12 games.
