Muncy is starting at first base and hitting eighth Wednesday against the Rockies.

Muncy looked poised to lose out on most of his playing time with Justin Turner returning from the disabled list, but the 27-year-old is set make his fifth consecutive start at first base, with the Dodgers opting to shift Cody Bellinger to center field. Through 29 games this season, Muncy owns a respectable .240/.356/.507 line with five homers and 15 RBI.

LeMahieu (thumb) played catch from 50 feet Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

LeMahieu has a small fracture in his left thumb, so the fact that he was able to wear a glove and catch with that hand is a positive sign. However, according to the Denver Post, LeMahieu may need up to three weeks to make it back.

Wong inked a minor-league deal with the Mets on Monday, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.

Wong will head to Double-A Binghamton after agreeing to a minor-league contract. The 30-year-old shortstop spent the majority of his 2017 season at Double-A Arkansas, where he slashed .241/.360/.287 with a pair of homers and 29 RBI.

Asuaje was optioned to Triple-A El Paso on Monday.

Asuaje was sent back to the minors to make room for reliever Tyler Webb, who was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move to offer extra bullpen depth. The 26-year-old appeared primarily as a defensive replacement during his most recent stint with the Padres, going 0-for-3 in his only start. He'll continue to serve as organizational infield depth.

Arenado went 3-for-5 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base in the Rockies' 9-5 loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Arenado hasn't hit a homer since May 5 -- an uncharacteristically long drought for his standards -- but he's managed to continue to contribute in other areas, as this three-hit performance brought his slash line up to a brilliant .331/.418/.567 through 157 at-bats. He also threw in his second stolen base of the season, although that shouldn't be considered likely to be a recurring trend, as he's swiped just 13 bags for his career. Fantasy owners shouldn't worry about the recent mini-lull in homers for Arenado, as more hits are bound to start leaving the yard for the 27-year-old dynamo as long as he continues to swing the bat like this.

Muncy went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Nationals.

Muncy took advantage of playing time thanks to the Dodgers' doubleheader Saturday, accounting for the team's first two runs in the second game with an RBI single and solo home run. He has performed admirably in 66 at-bats this season, batting .258/.351/.515, but his playing time figures to fall drastically with the return of Justin Turner.

Anderson went 2-for-4 in Saturday's 8-1 loss to the Braves.

It's his third multi-hit performance in his last five games, although it speaks to the weak lineup around him that Anderson has only two runs and two RBI to show for it during that stretch. He now sports a respectable .273/.355/.382 slash line on the season, and he'll likely continue to hit in the heart of the Marlins' order given manager Don Mattingly's lack of better options.

Suarez (ankle) will bat third and man the hot corner against the Cubs on Friday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Suarez was held out of Wednesday's contest due to a sore right ankle but won't be forced to miss any additional time after the club's scheduled off day Thursday. Through 27 games this season, Suarez is hitting .297 with a .970 OPS, to go along with seven home runs and 30 RBI.

LeMahieu was diagnosed with a sprained left thumb with a small fracture in the area as well, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

The second baseman went to see a hand specialist Wednesday after landing on the DL earlier in the week. The visit revealed that LeMahieu not only has a sprain but also a break in his left thumb. LeMahieu told Saunders he's unsure when he'll be able to return, but the diagnosis means it will be tough for him to be back when eligible May 25.

Muncy is out of the lineup Thursday against the Marlins, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Muncy and Kyle Farmer have mostly shared the reps at the hot corner for the Dodgers since late April, with the timeshare favoring Muncy as the left-handed hitter of the two. However, after star third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday, Farmer was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City, while Muncy is now in store for a regular role on the bench. Unless another injury hits the Los Angeles infield, Muncy projects to receive only a handful of at-bats per week.
