Rendon went 1-for-4 with a run scored, one walk and two RBI Saturday against the Giants.

Rendon drove in a run during the first inning, and he hit into a fielder's choice in the second to plate another. Over his last three games, Rendon has gone 6-for-13 with two doubles and five RBI. Rendon is in great position to compile RBI as Washington's starting third baseman and regular No. 3 hitter.

Riley was placed on the minor-league disabled list due to a sprain of his posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Riley is expected to miss a couple more weeks after suffering the injury diving for a groundball against Louisville on June 3. The third baseman is expected to join the Braves later on this summer, though this issue could complicate his arrival if he doesn't progress according to plan. Through 26 games for Gwinnett in 2018, Riley is hitting .284 with a .776 OPS.

Anderson went 3-for-5 with a double in Friday's 4-0 win over the Padres.

The 25-year-old remains locked in at the plate, hitting safely in 14 of his last 16 games with a stellar .391/.443/.563 slash line over that stretch. Anderson doesn't do much other than collect base hits, though -- he has one homer, nine RBI and nine runs over his hot streak, and three homers and 30 RBI in 63 games on the season despite a .304/.377/.426 performance.

Muncy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI double in the Dodgers' 7-3 win over the Braves on Friday.

Muncy continues to produce at an impressive rate at the plate, as his latest multi-hit effort featured his 10th long ball in 122 at-bats, bringing his slash line up to .262/.368/.566. It's anyone's guess as to how long he's capable of sustaining this considering his lack of track record at the big-league level, but for the moment, the 27-year-old is providing excellent value.

Longoria is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Longoria started the last 28 games at third base for the Giants, with Friday providing a good option for him to take a day off as manager Bruce Bochy stacks the lineup with left-handed bats against Stephen Strasburg. Alen Hanson will bat sixth and start at third base for the Giants on Friday.

Rendon went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and four runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Rays.

Rendon's big day came on his 28th birthday. The third baseman put the Nationals up early with his two-run double in the first inning, and he helped extend the lead with an RBI double in the sixth frame. Rendon, who had just one hit through 16 at-bats this month prior to Wednesday's four-hit performance, is now slashing .268/.345/.471 with six homers, 20 RBI and 18 runs through 41 games.

Walding was sent back down to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Walding was optioned in a corresponding move to J.P. Crawford's return from the 10-day disabled list (forearm). Over three games with the Phillies, Walding went 0-for-6 with six strikeouts. The 25-year-old has been productive at the Triple-A level this season and will likely continue to remain with the IronPigs barring another injury to a big-league regular in Philadelphia's infield.

Anderson went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals.

Anderson's third homer of the year was a two-run shot in the fifth inning, and he also drove in a third run earlier in the tilt after legging out an infield single. The 25-year-old has reeled off three straight multi-hit games and has multiple hits in six of his last eight. Boosted by this latest stretch, Anderson is slashing .298/.371/.418 and figures to continue hitting in the heart of the Miami lineup.

Newman could be one of the first position players Pittsburgh recalls when it needs infield help, general manager Neal Huntington said Sunday.

Speaking on his weekly radio show, Huntington said that Newman successfully handled a crash course at second base when it looked as though starter Josh Harrison might miss an extended period of time. Newman is slashing .313/.353/.391 with one homer and 13 stolen bases in 192 Triple-A at-bats. The 2015 first-round draft pick has the potential to help fantasy teams with his batting average, but holds just a career .725 OPS in four minor-league seasons.

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Cincinnati's 6-3 loss to the Padres on Sunday.

The 26-year-old continues to rake, as he tallied his 11th long ball of the season with this second-inning solo shot off Tyson Ross. He was already established as a valuable fantasy asset after he put up an .828 OPS in 156 games last season, but Suarez is providing even better value so far this year, as he's now got a fantastic .297/.378/.589 slash line through his first 43 games of 2018.
