  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Phillies' Jean Segura: Delivers another walk-off knock

Segura went 3-for-6 with two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 8-7 win over the Yankees.

Segura extended the Phillies' lead to 5-2 with an RBI single off Nestor Cortes in the fourth inning. After the bullpen stumbled to allow the Yankees to force extra innings, Segura was able to deliver his second walk-off hit in the past three games with a run-scoring infield single in the 10th inning. Segura has enjoyed a resurgent campaign through 46 games played this season, posting a .329/.381/.457 slash line across 189 plate appearances.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Lands on injured list

Muncy has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Muncy exited Friday's game with side tightness, and manager Dave Roberts said earlier Saturday that the infielder was going through tests to determine if he would have to go on the injured list. The severity of the strain isn't known at this point, but given that oblique injuries often lead to multi-week absences, Muncy seems in danger of missing the rest of June. He'll become eligible to be reinstated June 21. The Dodgers will likely provide further update later Saturday. Luke Raley was recalled in a corresponding roster move.

  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Reds' Mike Moustakas: Could return during road trip

Moustakas (heel) has a good chance to return during the Reds' upcoming road trip, which runs from June 14-22, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Moustakas has already missed nearly a month with a bruised right heel. He ran the bases and took grounders Friday and is expected to begin a rehab assignment soon, at which point his exact return date should become more clear.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Out of Saturday's lineup

Muncy (side) is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Rangers, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Muncy exited Friday's game with tightness in his right side. The severity of the issue is still not entirely clear, so it remains to be seen if an IL stint could be in the infielder's future. Albert Pujols will start at first base and bat fourth Saturday.

  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

Pirates' Kevin Newman: Not in Saturday's lineup

Newman is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Newman owns a .428 OPS over his last 16 games, though that isn't a whole lot worse than the .515 OPS he posted over his first 41 contests. Erik Gonzalez starts at shortstop in his absence.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Day off Saturday

Hayes will not start Saturday's game against the Brewers, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Hayes started eight straight games after returning from a wrist injury, recording at least one hit in all eight. He'll rest Saturday, with Phillip Evans starting at third base.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Plates three in loss

Arenado went 2-for-4 with three RBI from a pair of run-scoring singles in a loss to the Cubs on Friday.

The slugger got it done with some small ball Friday, plating starting pitcher Johan Oviedo in the third inning before bringing home Tommy Edman and Dylan Carlson with a fifth-inning knock. Arenado is putting together the type of resurgent season the Cardinals had hoped for when acquiring him this offseason, as he boasts a .285/.332/.512 slash line with 32 extra-base hits (20 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs) and 43 RBI across 62 games.

  • Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY

Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Gets Saturday off

McMahon will not start Saturday's game against Cincinnati.

McMahon sits after starting six straight games despite the fact that he hit a three-run homer Friday. Brendan Rodgers starts at second base Saturday, with Josh Fuentes at third.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Won't miss start

Suarez (finger) will bat sixth and play third base Saturday against the Rockies.

Suarez started Friday's game but exited in the fifth inning due to a cut finger, an injury he suffered while cooking the night before. He'll be back in the starting lineup Saturday and will try to make it through the full game without issues.

  • Diamondbacks' Eduardo Escobar: Smacks 15th long ball

Escobar went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two strikeouts in a 6-5 loss to the Angels on Friday.

Escobar snapped an 0-for-9 stretch with a bunt single in the fourth and pummeled a game-tying two-out home run in the ninth off Los Angeles closer Raisel Iglesias although it ultimately wasn't enough to deliver the victory. Escobar's 15 homers put him among the league leaders; he is performing closer to his excellent 2019 season rather than a subpar 2020.
