Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Plates two in blowout win
Muncy went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Saturday in the Dodgers' 22-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Muncy did all his damage in four innings before manager Dave Roberts subbed him out of the contest while the Dodgers held a comfortable 9-0 lead. Since slugging four home runs in a five-game stretch between June 25 and July 1, Muncy has failed to leave the yard, but he's still maintained a solid .743 OPS over the past week and a half while striking out only three times in nine contests.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Reds' Kyle Farmer: Sits consecutive games
Farmer is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Farmer is hitting .250 in seven games since the start of July, though he's gone hitless in five of those contests. Even so, he's tallied a pair of home runs and scored an additional three runs this month. Mike Freeman will get another start at shortstop in Sunday's series finale.

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Moving up to Double-A
Baty will be promoted to Double-A Binghamton after participating in the Futures Game on Sunday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Baty has found success at the plate this season with High-A Brooklyn, slashing .309//397/.514 across 209 plate appearances. Baty will now join Binghamton, where he's likely to finish his campaign. If the infielder continues to progress as expected, he could become a candidate to be called up to the majors as soon as 2022.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Out of lineup
McMahon will rest Saturday against the Padres, Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports.
McMahon sits for the first time thus far in July, a month in which he's hit .345/.441/.414 in eight games. Joshua Fuentes starts at third base in his absence.

Kevin Newman 3B | LAA
Pirates' Kevin Newman: On bench for afternoon game
Newman will sit for the first half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mets.
Newman has done very little at the plate this season, hitting just .206/.249/.268. Cole Tucker takes over at shortstop in his absence, though Newman will likely return to the lineup for the nightcap.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Reds' Kyle Farmer: Heads back to bench
Farmer will sit Saturday against Milwaukee.
Farmer hits the bench for the third time in the last six games, which may be related to the general soreness he was battling earlier in the week. He hasn't exactly earned everyday at-bats with his performance at the plate, however, as he's hitting just .217/.287/.333 on the year. Mike Freeman takes over at shortstop in his absence.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Mets' J.D. Davis: Set for Friday activation
Davis (hand) is expected to be reinstated from the injured list to start next Friday's series in Pittsburgh, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.
Davis had already been ruled out through the break, but he'll miss no more time than that, returning from a sprained left hand that has sidelined him since May 1. Manager Luis Rojas is not committing to Davis as the starting third baseman once activated, likely due to the strong play of Jonathan Villar, but he's a capable enough first baseman and outfielder that he'll continue to find ways into the Mets' lineup.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: On base three times Friday
Riley went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a triple, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's 5-0 win over the Marlins.
The streaky 24-year-old is heating up again. Over his last 12 games, Riley is batting .326 (15-for-46) with two homers and nine RBI, pushing his slash line on the year to .280/.364/.473 -- numbers that would be career highs in all three categories.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Diamondbacks' Eduardo Escobar: Launches homer number 20
Escobar went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 5-2 triumph over the Dodgers on Friday.
Escobar singled in the third and poked a two-run home run just over the right-field fence in the fifth to give Arizona a lead it wouldn't relinquish. He's now among the 17 big leaguers with at least 20 long balls. He's slashing .255/.301/.488.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Remains hot with two more hits
Machado went 2-for-3 with a double, run, RBI and walk in a 4-2 win against the Rockies on Friday.
Machado reached base in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings to go 7-for-his-last-12 with three multi-hit performances in his last four games. The veteran third baseman now has a 43:56 BB:K ratio, a drastic improvement on his 65:128 in his last full campaign in 2019.
