Muncy went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and two RBI in Saturday's 6-5 win against Tampa Bay.

Muncy came into the contest with just two hits -- both singles -- and 12 strikeouts over his past 27 at-bats. He emerged from the cold spell Saturday with a second-inning solo homer and an RBI double in the fourth frame. Muncy is tied for second in the league with 16 homers, tied for 10th with 37 RBI and tied for eighth with 32 walks, each of which has helped offset a .205 batting average.

Segura is out of the starting lineup against the Angels on Saturday.

Segura has not had much success in the month of May with a slash line of .190/.301/.238, and he'll get a breather against Shohei Ohtani and the Angels in the middle game of the series. Jon Berti will man the hot corner and hit seventh against Ohtani and the Los Angeles pitching staff.

Padres manager Bob Melvin indicated Friday that Machado (hand) isn't expected to return during the Padres' weekend series against the Yankees, per MLB.com.

Machado was able to hit on the field Friday for the first time since suffering a small fracture in his left hand May 15, but the veteran slugger doesn't appear quite ready for a return. He's already missed the first two contests of the interleague series in New York, and Melvin's comments cast substantial doubt on Machado's availability for Sunday. San Diego is off Monday, so Machado's earliest return date appears to be Tuesday in Miami.

The Brewers selected Monasterio's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.

The 25-year-old will get his first taste of the majors, replacing Willy Adames (concussion) on the active roster, after spending nearly a decade in the minor leagues between four different organizations. Monasterio has displayed a discerning eye at the plate with more walks (32) than strikeouts (29) so far this season, and he can run a little as evidenced by his 11 steals through 42 games. However, it remains to be seen exactly what his role will be with the big club.

Sosa is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta.

Sosa will sit for the third time in four games as the Phillies go with Alec Bohm at third base and Kody Clemens at first against right-hander Charlie Morton. The first two months of the season have been night-and-day for Sosa; he's batting .226/.255/.264 in May after slashing .305/.323/.542 in April.

McMahon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Friday against the Mets.

McMahon took Max Scherzer deep in the second inning to tally his fifth homer of the season. It was his first long ball since April 21 -- a span of 29 games -- and he hit just .198 in that span with eight RBI and 13 runs scored. McMahon has taken a significant step back to this point in 2023, as he has only a .398 slugging percentage and 43 combined RBI and runs scored across 50 games.

Davis went 3-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, three runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 15-1 rout of the Brewers.

He launched a two-run shot in the seventh inning off Ethan Small, padding the Giants' already huge lead. Davis' bat has slowed down a little in May, but he's still slashing a solid .267/.345/.467 through 23 games on the month with three homers, 11 runs and 12 RBI.

Hayes went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 11-6 win over the Mariners.

He had one of the Pirates' seven homers in the contest, but Hayes' was his first since April 15, a span of 34 games without a long ball. The third baseman has long underwhelmed with his power at the hot corner, but two homers in 49 contests is tough to justify on many fantasy rosters. Hayes is slashing .231/.287/.360 with 17 RBI, 26 runs scored and six stolen bases through 202 plate appearances. There's not much momentum here -- he has just four hits across his last six games, though three of them have gone for extra bases.

Sosa isn't in the Phillies' lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta.

Currently 0-for-6 in his last three games, Sosa will sit out for the second time in three days. He'll be replaced at third base by Josh Harrison, who will bat ninth.

Wisdom is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Reds.

Wisdom has one hit in his last 21 at-bats, striking out 14 times with no walks during that span. This will be the third time in the last five games that he's been on the bench in favor of Miles Mastrobuoni, who will get another start at third base.
