  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Drives in run in loss

Suarez went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 5-3 loss to San Diego.

Suarez was the lone Arizona batter to deliver with runners in scoring position during a stinging loss that put the Diamondbacks outside the final wild-card spot. He's been one of the team's hottest hitters this month, posting a slash line of .348/.390/.641 with eight home runs, 16 RBI and 22 runs over 24 contests. Suarez enters the weekend with 29 home runs and 99 RBI.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Posts three hits in win

Arenado went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 6-3 win over the Giants.

Arenado has gone 15-for-42 (.357) over his last 11 games to produce a strong end to the year. His double Friday was just his second extra-base hit in that span, and while his bat has been more consistent lately, he has just one homer over 23 games in September. Overall, the third baseman has a .272/.325/.394 slash line, 16 homers, 71 RBI, 70 runs scored, 23 doubles and two stolen bases over 152 contests this season.

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Not starting Friday

Muncy is absent from Friday's lineup against Colorado, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Muncy has gone 1-for-9 with one run scored and three walks in his last three starts since returning from side soreness. He'll begin Friday's contest in the dugout as Chris Taylor draws the start at third base and bats eighth.

  • Jose Tena DH | WAS

Nationals' Jose Tena: Out of Washington lineup

Tena is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

It's a day off for the left-handed-hitting Tena with the Phillies starting southpaw Ranger Suarez. Ildemaro Vargas will start at third base and bat seventh.

  • Jared Triolo SS | PIT

Pirates' Jared Triolo: On bench Friday

Triolo is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.

Triolo will yield to Connor Joe at first base Friday against Carlos Rodon and the Yankees. Since the start of September, Triolo is 20-for-76 (.263) with two homers, nine runs and eight RBI.

  • Noelvi Marte RF | CIN

Reds' Noelvi Marte: Not in Friday's lineup

Marte is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Cubs.

It will be a day off for Marte, who has now started 10 of the last 12 games for the Reds while bouncing between third base and designated hitter. The Reds are going with Santiago Espinal at the hot corner and Ty France at DH in the series opener.

  • Donovan Solano 1B | TEX

Padres' Donovan Solano: Not starting Thursday

Solano is not in Thursday's starting lineup against the Dodgers.

Solano has been the regular starter at first base for the past two weeks, but he'll bow out of the lineup after hitting only .222 across his last 10 starts. Luis Arraez will shift to first base, while David Peralta will enter the lineup and hit eighth.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Getting breather Thursday

Arenado is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Colorado.

Arenado will get a day off in his old stomping grounds after going 2-for-9 with one run scored in the first two games of the series. Jose Fermin will handle third base as the Cardinals attempt the sweep.

  • Reds' Santiago Espinal: Fills in at second base

Espinal started at second base and went 1-for-3 in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to Cleveland.

Espinal filled in at second base for Jonathan India, who was held out of the starting lineup after clearing concussion protocol. Espinal's in a skid to end the season, going 4-for-37 (.108) over the 11 games, but he's been productive overall during the second half.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Cubs' Isaac Paredes: Collects four hits, stolen base

Paredes went 4-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-6 loss to the Phillies.

Paredes collected his first four-hit game of the season along with his first stolen base. The 25-year-old isn't known for his speed, as he now has just two career MLB steals, but he is only one long ball shy of reaching the 20-homer plateau for the third straight year. Heading into 2025, Paredes should continue to derive much of his fantasy value from his ability to hit with power.
