  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Smooth start at Double-A

Henderson is batting .261/.429/.457 through 14 games with Double-A Bowie this season.

Henderson spent most of his time at High-A Aberdeen last season, posting a .775 OPS at that level before struggling in a cup of coffee at Bowie. The shortstop has made noticeable progress to begin 2022, and he's added two home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. The 20-year-old remains disciplined at the plate with encouraging power, though it remains to be seen if he'll do enough to move up to Triple-A this season.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Mashes third homer

Chapman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-2 win over the Red Sox.

The third baseman crushed a Nathan Eovaldi offering over the fence in left-center field in the seventh inning. Chapman's .246/.303/.443 slash line through 17 games comes with three homers and 10 RBI, and while on the surface his numbers don't look too different from his last couple years in Oakland, there are signs of improvement. His 25.8 percent strikeout rate would be his best mark since 2019 if he can keep it up.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Draws four walks Sunday

Rendon went 0-for-1 with four walks and a run in Sunday's 7-6 victory versus Baltimore.

Rendon's patience paid off throughout the contest, as the veteran third baseman reached base four times on free passes. Coming into the contest, he had taken six walks over 13 games. Rendon's on-base percentage was buoyed to .351 with his walk-heavy Sunday, but he is hitting a modest .200 on the season.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Reaches base four times

Bregman went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and an RBI on Sunday against Toronto.

Bregman ended Houston's weekend series against Toronto having tallied five hits, four RBI and one run scored across three games. On Sunday, he recorded his RBI by working a bases loaded walk in the second inning, and he later smacked a two-out double in the sixth frame. Bregman has now turned in three multi-hit games across his last six starts.

  • Tyler Freeman 3B | COL

Guardians' Tyler Freeman: Resumes full workouts

Freeman (shoulder) has begun participating in full team workouts at extending spring training in Arizona, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Freeman remains on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Columbus while he continues to ramp up from the shoulder surgery he required last summer. He's likely at least a couple weeks away from debuting with the Triple-A club.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Shows off power Sunday

LeMahieu went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Sunday's 10-2 win over Cleveland.

LeMahieu had a 10-game hitting streak heading into Sunday's matchup, but he had just three runs and three RBI during that time. However, he was more effective at producing runs during the blowout win over the Guardians since he stepped up with two extra-base hits. The 33-year-old has a .924 OPS with two homers, three doubles, seven RBI and five runs in 15 games this year.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

    Orioles' Ramon Urias: Resting Sunday

Urias is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

After going 2-for-12 at the dish while starting each of the past three games, Urias will take a seat in what likely amounts to a maintenance day. Kelvin Gutierrez replaces Urias at third base.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Takes seat Sunday

Burger is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Danny Mendick will get a turn at third base while Burger gets a breather for the series finale. Burger made eight starts over the White Sox's last 10 games, slashing a meager .207/.207/.310 with a 31 percent strikeout rate during that stretch.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Reaches base four more times

Suarez went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two walks, a run and an RBI in a 13-7 victory over Kansas City.

Suarez doubled and scored in the third inning, walked in the fourth, doubled home a run in the sixth and walked in the eighth to reach base four times for the first time this season. The 30-year-old has been on a tear against Kansas City this weekend as he's gone 5-for-7 with two walks and has significantly improved his slash line to .260/.373/.540 with the exceptional performances. Suarez's OPS alone has jumped 148 points from .765 to .913 over the two games.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Slugs third homer

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Saturday against Toronto.

Bregman got the Astros on the board with a two-run home run in the first inning, his third long ball of the season and first since April 8. Though the power production hasn't been consistent, Bregman has collected at least one hit in four of his last five games. Overall, he's hitting .271/.357/.500 across 56 plate appearances.
