  • Zack Gelof 2B | ATH

Athletics' Zack Gelof: Thriving at Double-A Midland

Gelof owns a .318/.374/.465 slash line with 14 extra-base hits and 25 RBI across 171 plate appearances with Double-A Midland.

The 22-year-old was running much hotter just a week ago, as he's currently mired in an 0-for-20 slump. The fact his numbers remain as impressive as they are despite the funk is a testament to how effective he's been at the plate. Gelof had a brief three-game stint with Triple-A Las Vegas last season in which he went 7-for-12 with a double and six RBI, and given how well his season with the RockHounds is going, it may not be long before he bumps up for another go-around with the Aviators.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Recalled from Triple-A

Burger was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Burger will join the roster in place of Luis Robert, who landed on the COVID-19 injured list. He could have a path to playing time at the designated hitter spot if AJ Pollock shifts to center field to cover for Robert, leaving the outfield corners open for Andrew Vaughn and Gavin Sheets, though he could be stuck on the bench if the White Sox prefer better defense from their outfield trio. Burger spent the first month of the season on the active roster while Yoan Moncada was out with an oblique injury and didn't particularly impress, hitting .239/.276/.352 with a 35.1 percent strikeout rate in 21 games.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Another long ball Monday

Suarez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a win over the Athletics on Monday.

Suarez put the final runs of the night on the board for the Mariners with a 374-foot shot to left that plated Julio Rodriguez in the fifth inning. The veteran has hit safely in eight straight games and 10 of the last 11 overall, and he's now gone deep in back-to-back contests.

  • Joe Perez 3B | PIT

Astros' Joe Perez: On IL with undisclosed injury

Perez is on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Corpus Christi with an undisclosed injury.

Due to being on the 40-man roster entering the season, Perez made his big-league debut briefly earlier this season, but he was sent to Double-A back on April 18 and landed on the injured list retroactive to May 3. He is hitting .196 with one home run in 13 games at Double-A.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Ends homerless streak in loss

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Guardians.

Bregman took Triston McKenzie deep for a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh inning, providing all the offense for the Astros in the contest. The long ball was his sixth of the year and first since May 8, ending a 12-game homerless streak. Bregman has batted just .161 with two extra-base hits and three RBI over his last nine contests. The third baseman has yet to find his stride this season, producing a disappointing .229/.349/.424 slash line over 144 at-bats.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Three hits in win

Urias went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored in Monday's 6-4 win over the Yankees.

Urias scored a run during Baltimore's big third inning before hitting a go-ahead homer off Gerrit Cole in the sixth. The 27-year-old infielder has put together back-to-back multi-hit performances for the first time this season and he's 6-for-13 with five runs scored over his last three games. He's still slashing just .224/.272/.344 through 137 plate appearances.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Homer, four RBI in win

Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double, four RBI and a stolen base in Monday's victory over the Astros.

Ramirez doubled in the first, drove in a run on a groundout in the top of the third, launched a two-run homer in the fifth frame and added another another RBI and a stolen base later in the contest. He now has 10 home runs and four stolen bases on the year and his 41 RBI lead the league. The third baseman has reached base in six straight games, hitting two long balls and adding nine RBI over those contests. Ramirez is once again providing extreme value to fantasy managers in 2022.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: On IL, appealing one-game ban

Donaldson, whom the Yankees placed on the COVID-19-related injured list earlier Monday, received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine from MLB that he plans to appeal, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

The suspension stems from inappropriate comments Donaldson made to the White Sox's Tim Anderson in the Yankees' 7-5 win Saturday. A decision on when or if Donaldson serves the one-game ban likely won't be made until after he's reinstated from the COVID-19 IL and his appeal is heard. Per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, manager Aaron Boone said Donaldson hasn't tested positive for COVID-19, but the 36-year-old displayed symptoms consistent with the virus and was deactivated as a matter of precaution. The Yankees called up Miguel Andujar from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to take Donaldson's spot on the active roster.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Not starting Monday

Candelario isn't starting Monday against the Twins.

Candelario drew starts in the last five games and went 3-for-18 with a solo home run, a walk and seven strikeouts. Harold Castro will take over at third base and bat fifth.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Belts eighth homer Sunday

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in an extra-inning loss to the Red Sox on Sunday.

Suarez also struck out in each of his other three plate appearances, so his feast-or-famine profile is as prevalent as ever. The veteran slugger sports an impressive .297/.350/.541 slash line over his last 10 games and his current .225 average is at its highest point since April 30, but he's also struck out 14 times over that same productive span.
