Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Mariners' Abraham Toro: Moves into reserve role
Toro remains out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Toro has now picked up only one start in the Mariners' last six games, and his playing-time outlook doesn't appear as though it'll improve in any major way with everyday first baseman Ty France (forearm) landing on the 10-day injured list. Kevin Padlo will cover first base Sunday for the second game in a row and looks like he'll serve as the primary replacement for France rather than Toro.

Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH
Orioles' Tyler Nevin: Heads to bench in series finale
Nevin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Jonathan Arauz will pick up a start at third base while Nevin takes a seat for the first time since June 7, ending a stretch of 16 consecutive starts. Nevin still appears on track to fill a near-everyday role at the hot corner until Ramon Urias (oblique) is ready to return from the 10-day injured list.

Taylor Walls 3B | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: On bench in Franco's return
Walls is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Wander Franco (quadriceps) was activated from the 10-day injured list and will start at shortstop in the series finale, leaving one spot in the infield no longer available for Walls, who is also capable of playing second and third base. The keystone looks to be Walls' best path to playing time with Franco back in the fold, but Walls may have to settle for backup duties at that position behind Vidal Brujan, who draws the starting nod Sunday. Neither Walls nor Brujan have been major producers at the plate this season, but Brujan may be the preferred option the moment after generating a .724 OPS over the Rays' last seven games.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Sticks in lineup versus righty
Paredes will start at first base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Pirates, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Even with Wander Franco (quadriceps) making his return from the 10-day injured list Sunday, the righty-hitting Paredes will stick in the lineup against Pirates right-hander Roansy Contreras. After going 8-for-16 with five home runs and eight RBI across his previous four games, Paredes will pick up his fifth start in six contests. He looks like he could get a look in a near-everyday role for Tampa Bay while he continues to swing a hot bat.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Solo homer in loss
Chapman went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo homer and two total runs scored in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.
Chapman launched a solo shot in the fifth inning to put the Jays on the board and later came around to score on a Lourdes Gurriel single in the ninth. The third baseman now has at least one hit in each of his last three games, raising his batting average to .224. His home run Saturday was his 10th of the season.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Drives in three Saturday
Paredes went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and three RBI in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Pirates.
Paredes singled in the bottom of the sixth before launching a solo homer off Chase De Jong in the bottom of the eighth frame. He later delivered a walkoff two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the Rays the 6-5 victory. The long ball was the 23-year-old's 10th of the season and he has now gone deep in three straight games, delivering five homers and eight RBI over those contests. Paredes is now batting .232 with 10 home runs, 20 RBI and 17 runs over 95 at-bats in 33 games this year.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Angels' Matt Duffy: Not in Saturday's lineup
Duffy isn't starting Saturday against the Mariners, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Duffy will get a breather after he went 3-for-16 with a double, a walk and four strikeouts over the last four games. Tyler Wade is starting at the hot corner and batting eighth.
-
DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Takes seat Saturday
LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Saturday's game versus the Astros.
LeMahieu will head to the bench after starting the past six games, a stretch in which he went 6-for-23 (.261) with one double, five walks, two RBI and two runs. Gleyber Torres will man the keystone and bat fifth for New York.

Rafael Devers 3B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Returns to lineup, homers
Devers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Guardians.
Devers was back in the lineup after getting an off-day Wednesday and cranked his team-leading 17th homer. The 25-year-old third baseman is blossoming into one of the league's best hitters, ranking fourth in average (.331), sixth in slugging (.612) and sixth in OPS (.998). Devers has not gone more than one game without a base hit this season.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Doubles twice in three-hit game
Suarez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI, a run scored and a walk in Friday's 4-3 win over the Angels.
Suarez opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and remained strong throughout the contest. Prior to Friday, he'd gone just 3-for-27 across his last seven games. The third baseman has a .232/.327/.441 slash line with 13 home runs, 37 RBI, 35 runs scored, 14 doubles and a triple through 303 plate appearances.
