Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Goes yard in Wednesday's win

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Angels.

Ramirez snapped a 15-game homer drought with his eighth-inning blast, which ended up being the winning hit. The third baseman has struggled a bit in September, going 12-for-47 (.255) with three extra-base hits and only five RBI. For the year, Ramirez has sustained a .282/.356/.531 slash line with 27 homers, 111 RBI, 79 runs scored and 15 stolen bases through 137 games.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Two-run blast in win

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Padres.

Suarez took Mike Clevinger deep for a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning, expanding the Mariners' lead to 3-0. The long ball was his 31st of the season and he's now launched six homers over his last six games. Since Aug. 30, Suarez has produced a .315 average with seven home runs, 12 RBI and nine runs scored over 54 at-bats in 14 contests.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Stays hot with two hits

Henderson went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, four RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.

For the second night in a row, Henderson recorded two hits, including his first career triple. The three-bagger down the left field line in the seventh inning scored two runners, and a throwing error by the left fielder allowed Henderson to come around and score himself. He also doubled in a run in the eighth inning to go along with an RBI groundout earlier in the game. In 14 games since being called up, Henderson is slashing .320/.370/.520. While he should not be expected to perform at this level for a full season, his slash line is similar to the .288/.390/.504 slash line he maintained in 295 plate appearances at Triple-A this year, giving credence to his strong performance thus far.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Angels' Matt Duffy: Regains everyday role

Duffy will start at third base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

He'll be making his sixth consecutive start at third base and looks to be fairly secure as an everyday player now that fellow infielder Andrew Velazquez (knee) has been shut down for the season. Since returning from the injured list Aug. 29, Duffy is hitting .195/.250/.317 in 14 games.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Two hits in win

Henderson went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's win over the Nationals.

Henderson got the Orioles on the board with an RBI single in the top of the first and then doubled and scored in the fifth. The youngster has reached base safely in 13 of his first 14 games in the big leagues, slashing a robust .304/.360/.457 in the process. With Henderson and fellow rookie Adley Rutschman playing to their pedigree, the future is bright in Baltimore.

Twins' Jose Miranda: Productive in Tuesday's win

Miranda went 2-for-2 with a home run, two total RBI and two walks in a 6-3 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Miranda supplied an RBI single in the third inning and a solo homer in the fifth. The corner infielder has been steady at the plate in September, going 14-for-40 (.350) with five extra-base hits, seven RBI and seven walks over his last 11 games. The 24-year-old rookie is up to a .279/.337/.459 slash line with 15 homers, 63 RBI, 38 runs scored, one stolen base and 20 doubles through 103 games this year.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Twins' Gio Urshela: Perfect at plate in win

Urshela went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Royals.

Urshela enjoyed a productive game, including a sixth-inning solo shot that provided the Twins' last run of the game. He started September in a 1-for-19 skid over his first five contests, but he's hit safely in his last six, going 11-for-23 (.478) over that span. The third baseman snapped an RBI drought of 12 contests, and his homer was his first in 27 games. Urshela has a .272/.319/.426 slash line with 12 long balls, 54 RBI, 48 runs scored and a stolen base through 122 games this year.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Angels' Matt Duffy: Goes deep Monday

Duffy went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to Cleveland.

Duffy accounted for the Angels' first runs of the game with his two-run shot to left field in the fourth inning. The long ball was his first since he returned from a lengthy stint on the injured list Aug. 29. Duffy has struggled since being activated, slashing .211/.250/.342 with five RBI over 13 games.

  • Ryan Kreidler 3B | MIN

Tigers' Ryan Kreidler: Riding pine Tuesday

Kreidler is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Astros.

Kody Clemens will start at the hot corner and bat seventh. Kreidler is hitting .233 with one home run, one double, nine strikeouts and three walks in nine games since getting the call this month.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Sitting Tuesday

Candelario is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Astros.

The Tigers have spread the playing time around a bit more this month, as Candelario didn't hit enough through the first five months to lock down a true everyday role. He is hitting .243 with two home runs over his last 10 games.
