  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Returns to lineup

Urias (neck) is starting at third base and hitting fifth Tuesday against the Red Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Urias missed a couple days with a back/neck issue. He is hitting .220 with two doubles in 20 games this month.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Riding pine Tuesday

Candelario is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Royals.

Candelario has started four of the last seven games and is 7-for-14 with three doubles, one run and one RBI over that stretch. Harold Castro will start at the hot corner while Miguel Cabrera starts at designated hitter.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

    Rangers' Josh Jung: Snaps skid

Jung snapped an 0-for-19 skid with two hits in Sunday's loss to Cleveland, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The Rangers are letting Jung get experience over the final month regardless of the results, which have been a mixed bag. "We're seeing Josh at this level. And it's given us information and we'll just see where that leads to, but he has to see the game with this level and see where he fits in," Texas interim manager Tony Beasley said. A hopeful sign is that seven of Jung's 12 hits have gone for extra bases, but an area to work on is a 28:2 K:BB. The organization's hitting coaches will address the decrease in walks and increase in strikeouts over the winter and into spring training, and the Rangers don't sound overly concerned by the slump in Jung's first exposure to major-league pitching.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Reaches four times in rout

Henderson went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, three walks and an additional run scored in a 14-8 win against the Red Sox on Monday.

Baltimore slugged four homers as a team between the sixth and seventh innings, and Henderson hit the longest among those with a 428-foot, two-run shot to center field. The talented rookie also drew three free passes, a high mark so far in his brief career. This may prove to be a big confidence-building performance for Henderson following his first significant major-league dry spell -- he had gone 0-for-13 with seven strikeouts over his previous four games.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Inching closer to live action

LeMahieu (toe) took part in defensive drills and batting practice prior to Monday's game against the Blue Jays, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.

LeMahieu's exact timetable for a return remains unclear, but it's reassuring that he's continuing to ramp up baseball activities. According to Rivera, the Yankees will re-evaluate the infielder in the coming days to determine the next steps in his rehab. The club remains optimistic that LeMahieu will be ready to be activated from the 10-day injured list before the end of the regular season.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Remains out Monday

Urias (neck) isn't in the lineup Monday against the Red Sox.

Urias has been in and out of the lineup with spasms in his neck area since he was scratched early from Friday's game against Houston. While he sits, Rougned Odor will start at second base and bat seventh.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Set to return Tuesday

Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said Suarez (finger) will likely be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Suarez was placed on the IL on Sept. 17 due to a small fracture in the tip of his right index finger, but after he was able to take swings without any discomfort over the past few days, he looks like he'll be ready to go when Seattle kicks off a three-game series with Texas on Tuesday. Dipoto noted that Suarez will likely serve as the Mariners' designated hitter Tuesday, so expect Carlos Santana to head to the bench for that contest.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Homers in defeat

Moncada went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 4-1 loss to Detroit.

The White Sox were unable to generate much offensive production Sunday, but Moncada accounted for the team's lone run with his home run to lead off the bottom of the fourth inning. He has three extra-base hits over his last five games, and he's gone 3-for-20 with two solo home runs, a double, a walk and four strikeouts over that stretch.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Not starting Sunday

Devers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Devers will step out of the lineup for the first time since Sept. 7, and he had an .815 OPS with two home runs and 11 RBI during that 13-game stretch. Bobby Dalbec will step in at the hot corner and bat seventh in Sunday's series finale.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Takes seat Sunday

Donaldson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Donaldson started the past 12 games and will head to the bench after he posted an .864 OPS with three home runs during that span. Marwin Gonzalez will take over at the hot corner in Sunday's series finale.
